Yeah, because that’s what this society theoretically was founded on: individual liberty. You’re right: it is about me. I got the vaccination just so people wouldn’t bother me anymore and had zero excuses for trying to take my civil liberties away from me. I don’t really fear this virus outside of my mother getting it but now she’s fully vaccinated. I lost my uncle to Covid (pre-vaccination sadly), but I’m still able to separate him from the overall stats.

If you enact laws and policies that strips the liberty from the individual in the name of the collective good, then you’re in tyranny and they can use that to justify anything. It’d how every historic atrocity has been justified.

I wish we could do this without government coercion, I really do. But let's not act like public health doesn't fall within the purview of the government and the state. Hell most state constitutions literally have a "health and welfare" clause explicitly written in. It is absolutely within the power of state and local governments to enact and enforce measures that protect public health.

Your right to swing your fist ends at my nose.

Get the frick out of here and don’t forget your sleeve band on the way out, you fricking fascist. I usually insult cowards by saying if they were living in 1940s Germany that they would have ratted out their neighbors to the Gestapo if they suspected they were harboring Jews. No, you’d be the one busting down the doors.

Democrats have done this since they pushed for slavery to continue.

This is what they wanted for Cleo Fields, now lets talk Gerrymandering.

It’s not your job to determine what’s good for the public as a whole. If you use single factor analysis with regards to Covid, which in your case seems to come from a lack of intellectual capacity, I guess we should lock down forever.

The vaccine renders this less deadly than the flu. If you don’t believe that to be true, then we need not take the vaccine.

Do I need to pull up the LA gerrymandered voting districts to counter that its the right doing this?

A fair point. Frankly, I think redistricting reform is something that everyone could agree on in theory, but nobody will do in practice because it would mean giving up power. A sad state.

This is absolutely not true.

Fact. You're not liberals anymore.

You're authoritarian progressives who only push for mail in ballots because it's easy to cheat and individual liberty is a nasty phrase that only "WhItE SuPrEmIcIsTs UsE!"

Is a bigger health risk than covid.

The government has repeatedly lied and been hypocritical about damn near everything. Then they have the audacity to get on TV and make the statement that they don't know why people don't trust them.

The academic medical community went as far as writing fraudulent papers about drugs that have been used for decades just to hurt Trump.

There is a sickness that has spread like wildfire across this country but it damn sure ain't COVID.

A well articulated liberal argument consists of believing gerrymandering is a right wing phenomenon, that abortion is “my body my rules”, but getting a vaccine without a long term understanding of the side effects is your duty to your country?

Jeez, no wonder why AOC and Ilhan Omar run your party now, you’re a walking contradiction.

My job? No. The job of state and local governments? Yes. Your state constitution likely has a "health and welfare" clause, which literally and explicitly gives state governments the right to (a) determine what is good for the public and (b) take measures to pursue it.

None of has anything to do with you being stupid enough to think you’re the most intelligent person posting in this thread.

Threatened? By a pussy like you that has to use qualifiers followed by “but” before you can muster the courage to post what you’re actually thinking?

Where did that happen, exactly? It certainly hasn’t come from you.

As I have said before, you do not want me to be responsible for your health.

I will follow you around and smack the honey buns out of your mouth all day and charge you for my time.

YOU and you alone are responsible for your health.
