Is this for kids old enough to understand "Hey shut up" or is this all kids?
My 10 month old gets really excited and will scream loudly.

My kids cried a lot when they were young. I very rarely took them out to dinner until they were age 3. Traveling with them on airplanes was the worst. Now, when I hear a screaming kid on a plane, I just feel bad for the parents, cause it truly sucks knowing hundreds of people are pissed off at you and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

All kids. Screaming babies are even worse. Keep them at home. You had the kid, not me, so you get to deal with it.

There's nothing you can do about airplanes. I sympathize. Restaurants and movie theaters? Whole different ball game.

Diner owner did the right thing. She spoke to the parents first & after that didn't work she took it into her own hands. Her other customers should not have to be forced to listen to crying children. I wish more restaurants would do this.
The kids parents should have taken the child outside to calm them down.

Well, when the States start running diners you go there with your screaming child all you want. A privately owned diner can ask you leave for any reason. A screaming kid could potentially lead to upset diners or people choosing to not eat there all together. Your kid isn't everyone else's problem and shouldn't cost a business owner just 1 potential customer.

, I never said it wasn't her right. I also don't have any screaming kids, nor do I tolerate it in mind. I also know that others parent differently and by and large all kids are just fine. I don't worry about it, I am strong enough to overcome the horror.

Are you people missing the part where she yelled from BEHIND the counter? She didn't get in the kid's face and upset it. She yelled from across the room. So fricking what? God I hate people.
