I'm on her side.

Control your noisy kids or LEAVE.

Do your freakin' job as a parent and get your noisy brat out of the restaurant. Nobody wants to hear your kid scream while they're trying to enjoy a meal.

ETA: I just "upvoted" Rex.

It took you half a second to make it about you.

I understand that sentiment, I do, which is why my wife and I don't go to dinner a lot and if we do its usually Mexican where its noisy anyway and fast. But if you yell at my child, I'm going to frick you up.

Yes, sir, Mr. Internet Tough Guy. Control your children. The diner owner asked to customers to get their child under control, they didn't, so she had to do it herself.

Here's a good lesson for you, act like an adult and don't yell at a toddler that isn't yours. You want to yell, yell at me. You yell at my toddler and im going to assault you.

I agree. No need for people out having a nice dinner/lunch/whatever and having to hear a screaming kid.

Question is would you let the situation get that bad if you were the parent? Would you sit there for 20 minutes letting your toddler scream constantly?

And kudos to you for your physical prowess.

Sounds like she took control of a situation that had gotten out of control on her own private property.

I imagine she sounds like a store owner who got tired of hearing a screaming kid and knew her other 75 customers were too. Sure, yelling wasn't the right thing. She should've walked over and maybe politely asked them to either handle the child better or leave.

Then she has a news crew come question her about this stupid little incident. I would be a bit coarse as well.
