I agree, but you don't yell at other people's kids. One of the quickest ways to catch an arse whoopin is to frick with a man's woman or a man's kids.

However, parents do need to be a lot more considerate and take the kids out when they're misbehaving.

You sound like a bad parent. Yes, toddlers will be loud at times. When that happens and you can't quiet them down, you take them outside and take care of it. If that doesn't work, you leave.

I have no illusions that my 2 toddlers are important to anyone but me. In fact, they are mostly an annoyance to others while in public unless they are quiet and well mannered. I chose to have kids, and I have the respect of others around me to know that no one wants to hear a kid scream for 5,10,15 or even 1 minute while enjoying a meal in a public restaurant.

If your attitude is "frick you deal with it", you are part of the problem.

No one should have to deal with a kid, who is reasonably aged, making a ruckus at dinner. If you don't deal with it then you shouldn't be surprised when someone else steps up to the plate.

This is reasonable. There should certainly be a few minutes allowed for the parents to try and calm the kid down, but when everyone starts looking at you that's the cue.

Wait they put the food out of her reach. So the parents are at fault period. My sister in law slapped her 13 month old for eating his food before everyone else sat down at Thanksgiving one year and i came fricking unglued, never ate a meal as a family again for over 25 years.

When my kids would act up, I locked them in the truck. Summer heat makes them stop crying after an hour or so with the windows up. Tough love is tough sometimes.

Same here. I guess all of the people who are calling those who would "internet tough guys" and "liars" do not have kids or are pussies themselves. I can tell you one thing...I will get pissed if anyone fricks with my wife and deal accordingly. But do NOT frick with my toddler. I would have raised some hell in that place and know many others who would have also.

Society is pretty pathetic. We get mad at kids who cannot logically put 2 and 2 together and not learn how to not cry. You frickers all did it, too. Get over it or go reproduce and change your mindset. Toddlers are not militant and easy to appease at all times. BUT, it's hilarious that adults attention whore on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram like they're fricking kids themselves. And they're mad at 2 year olds for being pissy around strangers. Get real.

I do not take my kid somewhere like Sullivan's or Nino's. But I take him like clockwork to Ninfa's and Pasttime's because they're loud as it is. BUT if I chose to take my kid to a 4 star small, quaint restaurant and someone tells him to shut up, I will be getting ugly. Who with a child would not....other than these yups who didn't really do much.

The parents purposefully made the child cry by placing it's food out of reach. It was disturbing the whole restaurant, employees and other customers.

She walked over and politely asked them to either make it stop crying or take it outside. They refused because, "Whatevuh, I do what I want." She requested that she be allowed to pack their food to go. They refused.

She yelled at it and the dad. It STFU. They are all njow doing the internet tough guy thing on Facebook.

It's never the right thing to yell at someone else's child.

The right course of action would have been to ask the family to leave if other direct requests were ignored. And, if the situation needed to be escalated, it should have been escalated with the parents...not the child.

This has nothing to do with whether or not the parents were wrong for allowing their kid to scream in a restaurant without concern for others. I believe that they were wrong.

However, it doesn't excuse the screaming at the child. It's very immature in its own right. I think it's pretty safe to assume that the woman who owns the diner has her own issues.
