This is why the cabana boys are assholes about the umbrellas in the wind. There is always some other a-hole that won’t listen to them or dog cusses them when they don’t get their way.

That's why you got to have insurance.
Outdoor seating is dangerous as frick and your below minimum wage server isn't checking to see if the umbrellas are secured.

When your number is up, it is up. Nothing you can do about it.

That freaking sucks to go out that way
Rather go this way then dementia, Alzheimer's, or other long drawn out slow crawl death.
But this is pretty crazy, especially for the family watching it happen.

My wife and I had a giant umbrella blow onto us at Enchantment Resort in Sedona last month. It had a heavy wooden frame, but luckily all of the heavy duty parts missed us. We felt a little ridiculous battling out of all that canvas in the wind.

How'd I do? That's from memories from 20 years ago
I used to love Ron White. I still do, but I used to, too.

Had a company picnic in the middle 90's in Chicagoland. Expected about 600 to 800 employees to show. The tent people also supplied the tables and seating. They also had about 40 of these plastic round top tables that could seat 8 people and our company provided the umbrellas for the tables.
Day was going great until 5:30 when a front started coming in. Had a small gust that knock over some trash cans and blew trash. Then a large gust came in and started blowing over unaccompanied umbrella tables. 3 tables to my right a petite girl from HR jumped up on her table and was holding onto the pole to try and close the umbrella. The wind picked her and umbrella up about twenty feet in the air and flew about 30 feet when she landed. Funniest thing I ever saw. Unfortunately when she landed she broke an ankle and dislocated an elbow. We ran over to keep her from getting up until the Medics arrived, and it was obvious her foot was twisted bad and kept repeating I'm OK. When the Tent people set up they forgot to insert a pin in the weighted base for the umbrella. She made bank.

Sounds like Shibumi propaganda to me.
