Why should men be expected to pay every time? If he only asked her to dinner and didn't specifically say he'd pay then good for him. Maybe she'll think twice before expecting a man to pay her way.

Had that happen to a co-worker...
My co-worker is cheap as frick. He was set up on a blind date, went to dinner, when the check came, he asked the girl to pay for her half of the bill. She told him she had to go to the lady's room, then left his arse...

When you're in the restaurant business, you see some messed up blind dates.
People who put off ordering while they're mentally building up the nerve to walk out on the date.
Guys who walk in, try to get a good look at their internet date before committing to sitting down with them. (A few guys walk out leaving the woman sitting at the table wondering.)
And the guys who just power through and tell the server that they're in a hurry.
