That's something you should be able to figure out in your own. If it upsets you then move on. If not, then don't.

Not a hard decision.

This barber in Baton Rouge? This sounds exactly like a barber shop I visited only once because of the same thing.

Are you an adult man?

Next time just say "hey can we change the subject, and then suggest something else to talk about.

Or mention your wife is black. Or you just adopted a black kid.

Eh, if it bothers you then don't go back. I'd go to a barber for a haircut, I don't care about their personal feelings. If I boycotted every company/person that I disagreed with, I'd inconvenience myself way too much.

Take command of the conversation early and drive it away from race. Also, I imagine you speak with a lisp and wear skinny jeans.

Crazy how common this is.

I've had several racist AF barbers in my day.

There was one in BR at this place allen Beau James Barber. Right behind the subway on Perkins a block east of College. Dude actually told some pretty funny racist jokes fwiw

All barbers are racist against whoever isn't in the room.

You try to steer or redirect the conversation. If it's not possible and you are really that uncomfortable, go elsewhere.

Otherwise take a picture with a black baby. Put it in your wallet. Show him your pic of the new baby you and your wife adopted because of all the heartache and lost pregnancies. Show it to him as soon as you sit down.

It's hard to find a good barber, but if you are uncomfortable, then find another one.

Pretty simple really.

I don't like shopping, dining, or basically being around trash and yes their words and actions annoy me. His barber sounds like trash.

My first barber I started going to out of college was in the Fat City part of Metairie. Loved the place. Three old arse guys who had originally been cutting hair in the Irish Channel. Had the tvs on sports, had playboys out, and never didn't have good stories to tell. They had variously all been involved in horse racing, boxing, and other interesting things that I enjoyed hearing about.

I went through a few barbers after that and either they are their clients annoyed me so now I go to a place where I can get an appointment and they give me whiskey or beer when I'm there. Usually great people to be around and never any ignorant fcks around.

I just read OP and I'm guessing Cedarcrest Barber Shop. I'll come back later and see if I'm correct.

That guy talks about Jamonkey Russell.

my hairdresser is quite attractive and this is part of the reason I go to her. she isn't racist at all, or if she is, she keeps it to herself.

Do her tits brush the back of your head when she leans over to cut the top of your head.

That's always nice.
