She is definitely driven and is not afraid to compete in an industry where most of her competition are chosen for their looks as much as anything else. Good for her. If she were your daughter, I'm sure you'd be proud.

My name is Peyton Galyean and I am currently at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a degree in meteorology and minors broadcast meteorology and GIS. Originally from the Houston Gulf Coast, growing up with hurricanes in my backyard gave me my weather bug. I am a former intern of KOCO5 In Oklahoma City, HailTrace in Edmond, OK, the CNN Weather and Climate team in Atlanta, GA, and as a Digital Meteorologist for The Weather Company.
I started college as a student athlete at Seminole State College where I was a member of the women’s golf team. After maintaining a 4.0 GPA I was named as a NJCAA 1st Team Academic All-American. Sports are still a huge part of my life. During football season, you can find me with the Coaches Cabana and Sooners Access team ran by Coach Barry Switzer. With these groups I help manage social media and produce content.
