Got between a 1 and 3 % raise each year since 2020.
We did go down to a 4 day work week starting this month ( previously was 4/5 week split) however and they call that our “raise” this year. I’ll take the extra 26 days a year off.

Pretty consistent 4-5% annually.
Almost keeping up with the increases in ramen noodles

My raises have been larger. Salary is up almost 40% since early 2020- same job. Raise this year was 8.5%.
I get good reviews, but I wouldn't consider myself great at any one particular thing.

My favorite raises are when you are near the cusp of a new tax bracket and your wage increase is effectively 0 after taxes.

Expendable income is down.

No.
Only thing working "better" for me is that my house payment has stayed the same, and will for the next 25 years.
Everything else has gone up WAY more than what little "COLAs" I've "earned".

I’m getting absolutely crushed. Talked to two buddies today, both super successful careers, and they are getting crushed. All three of us, three different industries, are seeing the worst selling/ service environment of our careers.
I think calling it “ inflation “ is bullshite. I think they have basically, starting about 15 years ago, created an entire new ECONOMY that is now reaching its zenith. This economy is too expensive to live in. People can’t keep up. My clients aren’t buying. Everything is on a holding pattern. I went to a big car dealership for 2 hours last week and one customer came in to browse. Middle class America has things locked down.FTR, this is going to get ugly with mortgages and car payments and because people simply can’t make the numbers work. Insurance alone is a fricking horror show.

Not really how it works. Higher bracket rates only apply to the income that got you into that bracket. The rest of it is still taxed at the same rate.

I'd take a paycut to go down to 4 days per week. It will never happen in my field though.

10%. First raise in 2.5 years. But I came in at 16%+ from my previous job.

If you say yes you are lying. Even one of the richest people in the world Elon Musk knows how much money he has lost and wasted due to Government the past 4 years.

Promotion in May gained me a 30% raise. Granted I took on the roles of 2 others that had left at the end of April.

My boss vaguely mentioned something about a raise when I was there for 5 years, when that anniversary mark hit, nothing. Not even when I brought it up, so I quit and he was in utter shock.

Same, especially not at management level. Would absolutely take a 20% cut to go down to 4 days/32 hours per week.

I know that but if you get stuck with a large paycheck, the withholdings can suck if you go above your typical bracket.
I saw some payroll checks with a little extra overtime added and the extra money was essentially cancelled out by the extra taxes withheld.
I got paid more, but the extra withholdings made the increase insignificant for the extra time put in.

That’s not how tax brackets work…

Not by virtue of Biden and Kuh-mala but by me busting arse and working harder because I knew if I didn't I wasn't going to be able to live comfortably.
