Did you live with your spouse before marriage? Would you recommend it?

Yup. We had been dating at LSU for a couple of years, moved to San Francisco together after graduation. We could barely afford one flat…two would have been crazy.

I wouldn’t recommend living with her at all. She can be mean.

I think it's a must, when you see some people's living habits, it can literally be a deal breaker!

yes and yes. me and my wife met in grad school and after dating a few months knew it was serious and started sharing an apt. There are so many things you get to know about a person when living with them....most fo them will drive you crazy...if you can come out of those things and still want there person there everyday that's something. I think if people don't live together 100% take a serious trip together...will reveal a lot of the same things

If someone doesn't have a moral issue with it I think it is usually useful to determine if you can live with each other. You don't know until you actually do it.

Yes. I'd 100% recommend it. Don't cosign a loan or anything like that until you're married, though.

I highly advise before marriage. You find out a lot after you move in together.

We moved in together after we got engaged. We were living a few miles apart and stayed over at one another's place a lot of the time anyway.

Yes, I owned a house and she was in an apartment. As we were paying for wedding, I said you need to move in so we can save the rent money, we were engaged. Been married 27 years. Definitely recommend.
