the real issue is that the people who really dislike the concept of incels (often more left/progressive-leaning people) boil it down solely to sex. they do this because the straw man fits nicely into their worldview (it's a great example of the patriarchy and toxic masculinity)

while the excluded male may speak about this solely in sexual terms (often after literal decades of living a life of nothing but rejection by the opposite sex), the issue is social-romantic at its heart. we are a social species and a lot of our sense of self and worth is tied into that paradigm. being told (over and over and over again over long periods of time) that you're not of the quality for simple romance makes you feel legitimately defective after a while

There is a limit to what you can do to make yourself physically attractive, but I've come across (heh) many women who weren't necessarily physically attractive, but their personalities made them absolutely magnetic.

In short: Male or female, don't be an insufferable count, smile a lot and you have a fighting chance.

i agree this plays a part, as well as self treatment...at least for males

if these femcels are so ugly/deformed that NO man will frick them, then that's rough. however, i think that your point about expectations is much more applicable to the femcels. go to any walmart in a poor area and see all the ugly, fat, disgusting women who are carrying around kids. somebody had to frick them. no way these femcels can be that much worse (unless they're legit deformed)
