Grew up off of Frenchtown. I used to love to hear all of the "stories" about devil worshipers, and Klan meeting down there.
Went back in there a lot, we used to camp out in the woods behind my house and we would always end up there at some point in the night.

There used to be some outstanding three wheeler trails back there.

We heard stories of them throwing dead cats at cars and a bunch of other stuff so of course we would take girls back there but never saw anything. Did hear some weird noises once.

As a teenager, what did you guys think devil worshipers looked like?

As an adult who knows a few, there’s nothing spooky about them. They’re just nerds.

It’s been a long time since I’ve thought about French town rd but we used to go and never saw anything but other cars doing same thing we were. I do recall Springfield cemetery being extremely creepy. We went to see a grave that had a mysterious etching that showed how the person was hit by a car. The locals boxed us in and were pissed we came. In hindsight, I get that it may be viewed as disrespectful but we were kids. Not sure if that’s even still there but it got our hearts beating

True story - around 94-95’

Did just this, Halloween night
Was just about to the bridge when a van sped up behind us and bumped into us at about 15mph

Our girls were freaking out - we found a small area to get turned around and passed him on way out - he just stared at us

I think it was mainly just the graffiti under that bridge that made it scary to us as teenagers. Other than that, it was just a regular country road.

Still leaves the question of who painted it, because it must have taken a lot of time and spray paint. It was probably done by some rejects who are now 50 year tattoo artists in the area. Hell, they may post here

WHS must equal Walker High School

And yes… rode down Frenchtown, and Sand Hill rd.

Always with females, to “protect” them…

With Halloween just around the corner, I was telling my kids about how we would go down to Frenchtown Rd back in the day to go try and see the devil worshipers.

Around here we had Swann Bridge… an old covered bridge where you would put candy out and ghost kids would appear and take it .

Bass Cemetery… if you went out there at night the ghost of old man bass would run you off.

I never seen shite though.

But I probably have to deal with them in a different way than you might.

In the 80s it was around Hammond iirc.

And the end of Harrell's Ferry Rd and an abandoned house off of Highland Rd. Location was dependent on where you lived.
