Yes. We even got a thing from Balfour that came with our ring for each person to sign that turned your ring.
Same - and the last person to turn (at least at our school—not in TX btw) was the graduate at the ceremony if I’m remembering it correctly.
My kids thought I was retarded when I suggested they do the same though.

I didn't get a ring. It's essentially a participation trophy. Graduating high school isn't worthy of recognition.

I remember this being a thing. didn't participate.

No high school ring, no prom, no home coming...Life moves on, eh?

I didn't get a senior ring. I didn't want it. All I wanted from that joint was my diploma.

Who gives a shite about a HS ring ? Only Aggies from college station even get a college ring.

Sounds like prep to be an Aggie

senior ring
Didn't waste family money on something I couldn't care less about. Knowing I had to go to college, finishing H.S. wasn't some great achievement.

ring turned
Never heard of this either.

So are college rings the day you enter the workforce but don’t tell Aggie
Not true. I'd wear mine to special events like baseball and basketball tournament games or bowls, until it got stolen from the Omaha zoo bathroom.

Your post is the first time that I have ever heard of this.
I also didn't get a class ring for high school or college because I knew that I would never wear it.

From the guy blowing you? Wtf would you take off there?

You wear the ring facing you and then friends and acquaintances ask or you ask them to turn your ring all in the same direction. Really doesn't matter how many people even though some say 15. Then you take off the ring and put it back on facing it away from you and ask someone special or someone you chose to take advantage of to turn it the other way to lock in the memories.

WTF kind of corn ball sheit are you talking about
Posted on 3/17/23 at 5:55 pm to Bourre
Turning a ring 2023 times would not be fun
Posted on 3/17/23 at 5:59 pm to Bourre
The only turning of our rings was when we'd turn them jewel side down and then slap freshman and sophomores in the head with them.
It would probably be bullying or some kind of hate crime now.

Ok so this thread made me go through my night stand drawer.

Yes that was a thing when I graduated along with some jackasses that popped people with the turned stone side down
