Where did Guthrie’s originate?

Haleyville, Alabama.

Chris Guthrie went to Auburn and opened a store.

It was off campus a block or two. Kind of north and east.

It’s not fast food. It’s Canes.

copyrights

You want someone to copyright serving chicken fingers, fries, bread and coleslaw?

Taco Bell serves tacos.. So does Del Taco. Do you need me to list the places that sell burgers? Some burger places sell a lot of other things. Freddy's serves hamburgers and ice cream. You think they can copyright that?

This seems believable, and logical.

Have you been to Montgomery?

Many companies copy one another. There's only so much variation that one can do.

Companies that create a "differentiator" don't necessarily do it with their product, although that certainly can't hurt. It's usually with their employees, culture and processes that they create. It's why Chick-fil-A and Cane's are so successful. Neither have the best product, but both do incredibly well, because they don't hire bottom of the barrel applicants -- there actually is an interview process --- and service at both places is generally better than their competitors, because of the culture created that starts at the top, and is carried all the way through to the people working the floor. Like minded people want to be around and work with other like minded people.

Product alone, this is better than Cane's:

Foosackly's -- and considerably less (drink not included):

Dairy Queen offered chicken finger (and steak finger) baskets with fries and toast 50 years ago.

OMG it’s fricking chicken tenders. It’s like saying Wendy’s copied McDonalds.

This board has mental issues of Raising Canes. Every other fast food is whatever, but Canes triggers grown men. They cannot handle Canes existing.

Can't imagine feeling that outrage-y about the thread topic, let alone taking the time to type all that.

The Raising Canes guy worked at Guthries. I guess you'd have had to have had Guthries back in the day to realize that it's a complete copy/paste..

Same crinle cut fries. Same Texas toast. Same orange sauce. Not that it really makes a frick, but I promise you that the McDonlad's/Wendy's analogy doesn't work.

I prefer a thread like this over all the "Mother starves her 8 children in basement" threads and "Bus catches on fire and everybody dies" threads and "Man arrested on I-10 overpass for giving an alligator a blowjob" threadsfollowed by "Which one of you baws but this" cute comment, but it's all subjective.
