He preached to his field Marshall’s to commit suicide rather than being captured. He was so outspoken in his hayday, I find it hard to believe that he would sneak off to South American and go silent considering how loud he was while in power.

I dont buy that he escaped to south america. Pretty certain he would have committed suicide considering how outspoken he was about it. Even if he did escape, he was probably one of the most recognizable men in the world at the time. Surely someone would have spotted him and word would have leaked eventually.
