It was entertaining. I enjoyed having a sport to watch over the summer since I quit watching MLB back in 2011.

Think of it like march madness.... the crazy upsets and wild games all happen in the first few rounds. After that it's less magic and more soccer for soccer fans. Good on good soccer is going to lead to a tactical defensive game which if you are a causal fan, is going to be horrendous to watch.

It's like F1 racing. Americans feign interest to seem cool, but it's all gay as hell.

Yes very much. Look forward to it every 4 years.

Yeah, fair comparison. The group stage and first 2 knockout rounds were great. Has been missed the past couple weeks.

Happen to be in Cabo for the final. Sat at a outdoor bar/restaurant. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Cared less about the game.

We watched some of the last US match till they were down 2 and you knew it was over.

everything just seemed to be a attempt to get fouls or penalty kicks
Just like the NBA and NHL

How did you get your 5th wheel there?

Not sure MLS is the most watched soccer league in America
Why would it be?
If you took all of NFL, College football, MLB, and NBA viewers and gave them nothing but soccer to watch, then yeah, our viewership would be just as high as any other country - probably much higher
Professional basketball in Spain = professional soccer in the US

I won a lot of money on the games and lost it all on the last four matches. I actually watched and liked a few of them.

The videos of Ice( the cold kind), and air conditioning, Walmart, Costco, Ranch Dressing, Portion sizes, free refills, and Buckees, all were lol to watch during that time. It was fun to see Foreigners really enjoy just routine things we just take for granted, made me laugh a few times, but couldn’t get into the matches

I would rather be the spit bucket at the finals of an octagenarian hot dog eating contest than watch a moment of soccer.
Posted on 8/5/26 at 2:15 pm to theliontamer
Yes, but I can't stand the playacting.
Posted on 8/5/26 at 2:17 pm to theliontamer
I made an honest effort to watch, but just couldn’t get interested.

NO
Soccer sucks.
Its more like kickball.
Our best athletes know better than to play that no action, lame arse sport.

I didn’t watch a single second of a single game, but I did enjoy watching videos of Euros and Japanese singing the praises of the American people and our country. I can imagine it was quite irritating for the America hating left.

It was a lot of fun. Went to KC for the Netherlands vs Tunisia match and got to march with the Oranje Army, 36K fans and their 2 double decker buses they imported for the WC.
Met a bunch of people, mostly from the Netherlands but also a few from Tunisia or with Tunisian background.
The visitors were shocked how great our country and people were compared to the impressions the media portrays.
Soccer on TV is boring but live it’s actually pretty intense, especially at the WC level.
