Dialogue from LOST, S2, related to this COVID-19 situation

A guy I know was re-watching LOST and picked up on this little convo. It’s not perfectly relatable, but it’s close.
Jack : So you don't get out, you don't see anyone. Where does your food come from? You really think this is happening.
Desmond : Why wouldn't it be?
Jack : It says quarantine on the inside of the hatch to keep you down here. To keep you scared. But you know what? We've been up there for over 40 days and no one's gotten sick. You think that this is the only part of it that's true? Do you ever think that maybe they put you down here to push a button every 100 minutes just to see if you would? That all of this, the computer, the button, it's just a mind game? An experiment?

I'm convinced that most liberals are just trolls seeing what they can get away with.

While the quarantine part was made up, they did kind of have to push the button. The whole crash was because Desmond was late in pushing the button once.

I gave you an upvote, but I wish I could downvote you, too, for referencing Lost. Absolutely hate that show.

But did they? You could say they never had to in the first place

Didn't they first find Desmond in S2?

Yes. OP spreading misinformation like a liberal.

Just come out and admit that you have gotten so bored with the lockdown that you WILLINGLY re-watched Lost.
I will give a pass to anyone for watching it the first time around, even I had to see how it ended, but a second time?

When I see the government trying to intervene And rule our lives And abusing their power , I think Of the line Charlie says at the end of the pilot
“ Guys... where are we ?”
“ Guys... where are we ?”

I don't think they are trolls but I do think they are trying to see how much they can get away with.
Forcing people to rely on the government is their strategy.

Everything is all fake. Not even trump is real. We are all sheep.

Lost is such a great show that doesn't deserve the hate it gets. A show like it wouldn't be possible in the 'dump all at once' streaming age. Half the fun of Lost was dissecting clues, reading the novels found on book shelves in the background, and message board posting in between shows.

Another quote I love from LOST, which also corresponds to Leftist bullshite.
Jack: I think I’m going crazy.
Locke: No, you’re not going crazy.
Jack: Why is that?
Locke: Crazy people don’t know they’re going crazy. They think they are getting saner.
Turns out to be great foreshadowing for the rest of the series, and something completely true in real life. Crazy people absolutely refuse to listen to any other line of reasoning but their own convinced they are correct on everything to their own destruction.

Don’t worry, I made up for your lack of downvote.

Not nearly as bad as the Game of Thrones ending. In LOST they were just pissed about some of the answers or lack there of even if they had been explained, and the side plot of Season 6, which you can remove in a fan edit and just be confused on what Desmond is talking about during that season.
But you know what people weren’t bitching about at the end of LOST? The characters and where they ended (with the exception of Sayid). The almost all the characters ended on a satisfactory note. That was (rightfully) the big thing people bitched most about in Game of Thrones. People still defend the ending to LOST, but only a troll will defend GoT’s ending.

Spoilers ahead
This right here is my favorite damn scene in ALL of television
Through the Looking Glass - Final Scene
The whole series is character focused. And while on the island during imperative scenes they suddenly cut from the action on the island involving that character to formative experiences they had in their life previously before coming to the island. Each character was the focus of an episode here and there. Locke being paralyzed, Sawyer and his father, Jack and his father, Kate and her lawlessness, Hurley winning the lottery and becoming cursed, Sayeed as a torturer in Iraq. Etc. Flashbacks helping you learn why they are the way they are and what drives their motivations.
But in the season 3 finale things seem strange. The "flash backs" they cut to just seem different, and nothing is making any sense. Jack is suddenly an alcoholic. Sayeed is doing weird stuff too. I think Locke is as well I can't remember correctly.
But as we as viewers were trained to believe, these were all flashbacks. Their life before they got to the island. The entire series REVOLVES around them getting off the damn island by any means possible.
And suddenly... in the final scene of the season 3 finale... Jack is at the airport runway watching planes. And who walks out of the shadows but his unrequited love from the island... Kate. Wait. How. Why. Did they know each other before they got to the island? What is going on? And then it suddenly hits you like a fricking wall.... these puzzling cut scenes of flashbacks this episode are flash FORWARDS. They have gotten off the island somehow and these cutscenes have been their life since they left!
I'll never ever ever forget this scene. The most mind blowing scene in cinema or TV history. My entire family watched LOST together.
And when Kate walked out... I literally JUMPED off the couch and grabbed my hair like a maniac "WHATTTTT THE frickKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!"
Such a great series. If you haven't seen it please watch it. "Not Penny's boat" is runner up iconic scene.
Probably the last great network drama ever created.
"We have to go back Kate! WE HAVE TO GO BACK!"
