Our federal tax dollars at work, folks.

A Brazilian man used a sensitivity reader company’s own list of video games that they consulted on to make a consumer curator list on Steam, a video game store. The employees of this Canadian company and their flying monkey friends then tried to cancel the guy, Kabrutus on Twitter/X, and defame him.

“GamerGate” was something from 10 years ago where a woman, Zoey Quinn, cheated on her bf with five other guys for favors in the video game industry to unsuccessfully further her career. She then accused a man of SA and ruined his career after which he ended himself.

“GamerGate 2” is just a Brazilian man making a list saying ‘these guys worked on this game, so you probably don’t wanna waste $70 on buying it’ and wokies are crying ‘racism and sexism’.

And apparently it requires Department of Homeland Security funding because the wokies ‘mental health’ is being affected by the reality of capitalism and consumer feedback.

quote:

American tax dollars are now going to defending Sweet Baby inc. in the wake of backlash to an employee’s harassment campaign against a Steam user. Take This is a mental health oriented non-profit that emphasizes “the unique needs of the game development community and embraces the diverse cultures and issues of the game community”.

In a recent post by Take This, the organization labeled the backlash Sweet Baby is facing as “Gamergate 2” and blaming the lion’s share of harassment on gamers, despite the initial harassment coming from Sweet Baby employees. Take This went on to use their platform to call on the industry to “denounce Gamergate”, despite Sweet Baby Inc. Detected seemingly having no affiliation with it.

“Discord, Steam, and X have been the predominant platforms where the abuse and harassment has been taking place. In these spaces, lists of game studios, companies, and associated organizations are being circulated for targeting by members of the mob… As scholars and journalists have noted, the targeted harassment, hate, and cultural norms that were at the heart of Gamergate in the mid 2010’s never went away.”

As for the government ties to Take This, the Department of Homeland Security at least partially funds the organization. You can see their disclaimer for yourself here.

“This work is made possible by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS # EMW-2022-GR-00036).”

Earlier this month, we reported on the Sweet Baby Inc. Detected Steam curator which informs users if Sweet Baby has been involved with a game. Sweet Baby employee Chris Kindred criticized the group to their followers, they went even further by encouraging others to mass flag not only the curator, but the curator’s personal Steam account.

This was seemingly done with the intent to punish him by taking away the games he bought and paid for.

A based gamer made a list on Steam informing users which games were worked on by a woke game studio. Woke game studio took offense and are cancelling this random dude.

At least that's how I read it.

Brazilian made a list of games worked on by a specific company that recommends people not play because they’re woke.

Company tried to take everything from the guy and got upset that it didn’t work so they need DHS to step in to provide help and may consider the Brazilian an “extremist.”

The big issue is that gamers really don’t care who makes the game. We just want a good game that isn’t delayed or unfinished. It’s a very small audience that actually will not play a game based on who made it.

My nerd is pretty rusty but, this one looks like a classic case of the old he said she said she had a headache and was going to bed. Then, five guys came over and touched her butthole while the internet watched.

After, they all played Duck Hunt/Gyromite and ate hamburgers until they got cramps in their thumbs and called it a night.

First, you have to understand what Sweet Baby, Inc is and does.

Sweet Baby, Inc isn't a game-making company, it is "a narrative and consultation studio". A little more detail:

quote:

What companies like Sweet Baby, Inc do is to advise a company how to bring in their team of top-notch narrative drivers in order to deconstruct the game's story and then rebuild it to make the upcoming game more socially accepting, diverse, inclusive, etc. What this means in reality is anything from subtly pushing transism as being normal (Hogwarts) to degrading specifically white male leading characters into being weak idiots (the difference between Joel in Last of Us vs the sequel) in order to make some character who is not a straight, white male into a more central figure.

So a company that tries to fan the flames of social issues in order to create a niche for themselves to fight those flames (within the video game-making community) they are fanning is pissy because some gamer made a list of games they have "consulted" on (ie: injected their woke bullshite) in order to warn other gamers away from buying them.

This is essentially like a firefighter getting caught on video setting fires in order to have something to fight, then that firefighter trying to sue the video-maker for defaming them.

Sweet Baby, Inc

Seems like it’s garbage that this shite company even exists, much less is able to remain viable.

Just when you think you’ve grasped the extent of the woke garbage, something else pops up.

Ah, the global conspiracy known as GAMERGATE.

Many years ago Steve Bannon launched a harassment campaign against games journalists since they are the first line of defense against hate, bigotry, and extremism. This was done to pave the way for Trump’s presidential victory in 2016.

GAMERGATE still exists today as a digital genocide of women and marginalized groups, but has often spilled over to the real world in numerous mass casualty events.

There are people that actually make these types of claims.

They’re not exactly a game studio. They’re part of the DEI Commissariat. They are “hired” to “help” with writing or “improving” game narrative to implement The Message and current-think.

So, they are partially responsible for how shitty some games are becoming.

This was a result of their “work” on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Apparently having the Suicide Squad urinate on The Flash, and Harley Quinn executing Batman were just a bit too much for the gaming community. Sweet Baby Inc deserves everything they’re getting. They’ve been running the DEI grift for years.
