I will murder someone. Since last Sunday, I've slept in my own bed like 4 nights.

Coming from the Westbank and not knowing that, it took a while to adjust to. Especially when driving on the elevated tollways.

although Chicago can be quite windy, the term "windy city" has zilch to do meteorological wind

The Windy City isn't referencing actual wind.

It's political.

I guess we won’t know until it happens, but everything I’ve seen is saying it’s going to be scattered and not just one big storm.

It would be nice for my area to be the one that doesn’t get shite for once lol

No Mod upgrade yet from SPC but they introduce 10% TOR for NE DFW and continued the Hail and Wind Hatch over DFW. Initial supercells will have potential to be very destructive before growing upscale into a MCS with significant straight line winds.

How does Hill country (San Antonio/Austin) area seem to avoid these bad storms?

Did you finally get electricity back? Last round was like a tropical storm. I’ve never seen sustained winds and wind gusts like that outside of tropical weather conditions. 2 huge cement planters with trees in them were thrown across my yard and into pool.
