I wonder if this bad weather ever has long-term effects on people wanting to move to a nicer climate? May sound extreme, but at some point I’m sure this gets exasperating.

It has not really been that bad in DFW, just keeps hitting on the weekends. Few years ago we were in a good long drought.

But we get cool weather for a few days after. Seems a reasonable trade-off.

Seriously, we are trying to turn this into a Texas specific site. Even your feathery leader lives in Texas.

I just got back from Carmel, California last week. Yes, I was just talking to my girlfriend about moving somewhere nicer. I have no family/commitments in Dallas.

Jaqueline Kennedy had just commented on how nice the weather was when the plane arrived on November 22, 1963.

Well in all fairness, JFK did get struck by a metaphorical lighting bolt.

In weatherford. Power is out and it’s dumping buckets, windy and lightning like crazy. No hail.

If anyone is following tonight, we have our first severe thunderstorm warning in the metroplex out west of Fort Worth by Mineral Wells and Weatherford.

I was standing outside before it started and it was pretty warm then we felt a very cool breeze blow in. Probably a 20 degree drop in just a few seconds.
