If you see anyone you know hoarding up on things you know they don't need, I do think it's your patriotic obligation to place your fist directly in their mouth at a high rate of speed. The panic buyers are the scum of the earth

DFW Update - I stopped in at Walmart as planned and got my hamburger buns, as planned. The Mrs. Baird’s guy must have just left because their products were fully stocked. Grabbed some 9v batteries, produce, and a box of Little Debbie iced Easter Egg brownies and hit the road.
It was slightly more crowded than usual and many shelves were bare. Lots of produce was available.

We shopped Friday afternoon at the HEB in Granbury, a small town SW of FW. Many shelves picked bare, but most shoppers were very orderly and polite. All checkout lines were opened, and there were people with two carts waiting patiently to check out.
I got enough beer and boudin to last several days, but I'm afraid we might have to return early next week. Also looks like I may have to make a run to Specs later today.

If I made a product, I would hire social media influencers to tweet and post that there is a shortage because people are hoarding it. Thus, inducing panic buuying.

Good opportunity for a pump and dump stock scam too.
"XYZ, Inc. is poised for huge gains in the wake of Covid-19. They have the patent on a drug that before now was good only for treating bunion fever, but tests are showing that it is 87% effective in eliminating the virus from patients between the ages of 21 and 75."

Went to Snuffers last night; place is usually packed/almost full on a Friday. There was no one seated around us which I'm fine with as I could do without most people

We ate at a small Mexican restaurant last night. It's usually packed on Friday nights - last night only at about 1/3rd capacity. Pleasant dining experience.

Yesterday afternoon I drove past the packed Wal-Mart and shopped at my local owned Big Star Grocery. There were less shoppers than you would normally see on the day before Thanksgiving. Big Star had TP, bottled water, and most anything you would want although stock was lower than normal. In and out in about 10 minutes and the bag boy took the groceries out to my car.

Glad I don't have to worry about anything- my wife, by her nature, already had enough toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc. to last a couple of months before the virus even broke out! Food wise, we can survive for over a month; after what I saw a few days ago, I am not going back to the grocery for as long as I can avoid it!

Yeah. So you are CHOOSING to go shopping at 4:30am which results in having to go to Walmart due to lack of choices. Then you bitch at the people who shop there.
