The guy at the hearing said the LDH Officer can make the call to shut down a school.
So regardless of the opt outs, it most certainly wont be over. Also as mentioned in this hearing, that since the 16+ it involves right this moment.
It will automatically change once the FDA approves it for younger kids.

Man, I’m a relatively new resident to Texas and while I love a lot about it, they’re nuts about the Covid shite here too. Maybe it’s just because I’m in Houston and conduct most of my business here, but organizations are being shitheads with the mandates here too.

Abbot would never allow this shite.. Me and my wife are both fully vaccinated, but I'll move or send my kid to private before I allow them to stick my 5 year old with a vaccine for something that she is not in danger of.

Here’s Landry’s opportunity to secure the governorship. If he leads the charge and unites the LAGOP to override Edward’s veto, then there need not be another challenger.

Every one of us should blow up our state reps emails over this. I’m serious. frick JBE. It’s time we take back our state.

You do realize there is 105 in the house, 64 republicans and 38 democrats and 3 independents. In order to pass an override you have to have 2/3 majority (70) which includes getting democrats on board , 3 to be exact and only if you get all republicans and all independents. That is the problem which is assuring you get 3 democrats and everyone else .

Does it increase the odds of getting the required votes when 3 of the 5 Dems voted against it in the House Committee on Health & Welfare?

I will be very, very upset if he pulls this shite. I will be leading my friends on calling our representatives on removing him from office if he intends to go through with this.

You don't get to override legislature on putting an experimental vaccine with 0 information on long term effects into the arms of children who have a 0% risk to the virus itself.

Cool Kids voted for this fuq. Passive public watched a strong recall attempt and then bitched how it wouldn’t work. Now you want his head. I’m in but you had some great opportunities. I do think jacking with JR will not end well for him. Oakley, Braxton, and Jayce will be harmed and their travel ball career ended

I used to think that. I’ve given up hope.

Until we push back they’ll just keep taking and taking.

He's definitely a piece of shite governor but can't the parents just opt out of the jab with a signature?

The rule would initially apply to students 16 and older, beginning next August at the start of the 2022 schoolyear, the governor said. Like all other school vaccination requirements in Louisiana, parents and students could easily opt out, with either a letter from a medical provider or a simple signature in dissent.

Well then what’s the point of the “mandate”?

It’s no different from the other vaccines in this state when it comes to the exemptions. You are still allowed to opt out with a letter from a doctor with this vaccine mandate.

Maybe you should quit laughing at them and listen a little more often. Every so often, there’s some kernels of truth in their theories. Not saying you should buy in hook, line and sinker. But they’re not always worthy of dismissal out of hand.

It ain't Flirida under DeSantis, but I'm sure glad I left Louisiana for a better opportunity in Texas and I'm not dealing with JBE.
