Grilled Pimento & Cheese.

It's "heart healthy" because it's grilled

HEB has some homemade Pimento and Cheese that's fantastic on a grilled sandwich.

i hated P&C growing up, but now i love it.

Grilled PB and banana. Generous amount of cinnamon sprinkled on the buttery outside for a nice crispy exterior.

Grilled ham and 3 cheese

Buttered Bunny or other very white bread-slightly toasted
fried smoked ham
Haverti cheese
Smoked Gouda cheese
cheddar cheese

slightly grill bread
add cheeses and place in 300 deg oven to start melting
add ham
Press breads together and grill for another minute in pan

Only have it about once per year but geez, it is good!

2nd choice
Smoked turkey pieces (not sliced at deli)on white with Duke's mayo (both sides) and mustard, salt and pepper

Guaranteed to be made for Christmas and Thanksgiving evening snacks!

Ingredients:
Po Boy or French bread
Patton's Hot Sausage patties
American cheese (real stuff, not cheese product)
Egg
Standard sandwich accoutrements

Pan sear the hot sausage in a cast iron skillet, top with cheese. Lightly toast the bread - a little crunch, not much.

Spread both sides of the interior portion of the bread with mayo (I prefer Hellman's) and place sausage patty with cheese on one. Fry the egg over-easy in the same pan I cook the sausage in. Dill pickle slices in between the cheese-topped sausage and egg. Sliced tomato (I prefer hothouse or roma, something with good acidity) on top of egg, then shredded lettuce. (whole-leaf is for Neanderthals unskilled in knife usage)

Sprinkle with black pepper, close sandwich, cut with a slight angle, consume with kettle-cooked chips (I prefer the Zapp's VooDoo Heat) and a beer. Huzzah

For those that don't know what hot sausage is:
