A guy I knew was around Sharlo the day Charlotte Murray Pace was killed and saw DTL walking through a yard with blood all over him. He tried to tell the cops about it and they blew him off and said they were looking for a white guy.
Not sure if they got back in touch with him during the murder trial or not.
Would love a Netflix documentary on DTL, and this guy be interviewed.

It is amazing how they finally caught him...
I don’t remember… how did they? Didn’t someone escape? I just remember everyone being shocked he was black.

This dude even killed Pam Kinamore and then drove across the basin with her dead body with him. How sick is that.
Don't forget Geralyn DeSoto of Addis. One of the worst crime scenes they'd ever seen.
This is a great book about it all.
Danny Mixon never got the credit he deserved for his help in Lee's apprehension.

Wasn't it an anonymous tip?
Some locals in Atlanta called it in I think.

Carrie Lynn Yoder lived right off campus... off of Gourrier maybe?
And Gina Wilson Green on Stanford.
Too close to campus.
I was spooked by it.
I kept a picture of DTL taped to the back of my front door as a reminder to look out the peephole before opening the door.
My office .manager was scared because her husband was working out of town a lot. I made a comment that he couldn't possibly live near her in St. Francisville. <------ So wrong!

Friend of mine lived in the unit next door to one of the victims and was home at the time of the murder
He didn't hear a peep either.
It definitely put everyone on edge but thank god that POS was caught.

I just looked it up and he was out there murdering for 11 years... The whole investigation was a shite show... They actually had Lee at one time but had to let him go because of lack of evidence? If I remember correctly..

Again, I don't know if this true, but he would supposedly keep a certain body part from each victim, though I will not get any more specific in case any of the victims' families happen to read this thread.
Fortunately, I remain unnamed in the court documents that were linked above, though reference is made to my role.

Bro, that's straight out of a horror movie. Imagine your neighbor getting her throat slashed and can't call out for help and you're just next door doing dishes and shite.

For a couple weeks, yeah actually. Not everywhere, and some in jest, but yeah.

My sister was at LSU at the time and my mom was very nervous. In a turn of events I remember watching the news when they caught him and showed his picture with the details. My mom's face turn white as ghost ,because he was a regular customer at the store she managed. He would come in all the time get gas and drinks. She said he was always nice and blended in very well.

Pretty fricking terrible. My GF at the time was out of her mind with fear before he was caught. She and her sorority girls would not run the lakes without 3+ of them, wouldn't go anywhere at night without others, etc.
Everyone was looking for a white dude in a white truck, not a black dude in a white truck and that fricked up the investigation for a while....

Very creepy, suspicions magnified, police NO help in calming fears, in fact, their incompetence made it worse

Ricky and his girlfriend were parked in a car in a cemetery, Derek Todd Lee stabbed him multiple times, then raped Ricky’s girlfriend while he watched (near ) and then DTL stabbed her to death, he left Ricky to die, but Ricky survived

Wait, what? I thought that they both survived.

I'm guessing it wasn't a lock of hair...
Part of their private parts? Or like a finger or toe or something not sexual?
Help us out here...

I was 20 living in a mauve-pink rent house on Stanford directly across the street from Gina Wilson Green’s home when she was murdered.
I started staying at my boyfriend’s apartment a lot on corporate. My roommate started staying with other friends in an a different complex on bluebonnet further from campus. Thankfully our lease was up that year.
It really was a very scary time. I didn’t want to be alone at night.
8 months after Gina was found dead in her home, Charlotte Murray pace was found murdered in her Sharlo town home.
Charlotte lived three doors down from Gina on Stanford when Gina was murdered. She had only been living in Sharlo a few days. They both drove BMW’s - no idea if that meant anything to DTL.
