you're missing my point....."they" want him to do life and die in prison.....they dont care about anything else

the ignorant people that protest and march arent smart enough to realize what you and I understand

These Court TV commentators are going to get Cup Foods burned to the ground for calling the cops.

Possibly get some of the staff murdered as well.

Watching Court TV who cares what the feelings of the bystanders are. Chauvin either broke the law in what he did or he didn't. The feelings of people who saw it means nothing when it comes to the application of the law.

Because all the other side has is emotion, and they are hoping emotion will win over facts.

Agreed. I am used to Federal Court but it is very restrictive. If it doesn't deal EXACTLY with the charges then it isn't admitted. If an attorney or witness starts to drift, the Judge jumps on them with both feet.

This testimony is all over the place compared to what I am used to seeing.

Sounds like he and his mom lived above the store too. Did he say if they've moved? Isn't that area currently occupied by people and there's essentially anarchy?

Not gonna search through your whole, sad post history. You know it and I know it. At least one other poster made mention of it in the last 15 minutes or so.

You hopped on to the anti-Chauvin. What's making you change your mind? The facts of the case?

Yep, just like in the OJ case where they were hoping race would play over fact.

I recall that Shapiro when asked if they would play the race card before the trial said absolutely not.

After the trial when he was asked if they did he said “they dealt it from the bottom of the deck”. And that’s why OJ walked.

All of this over a counterfeit 20$ bill. What was GF employment history? Will that be brought up? We all know he was a felon.

That's immaterial to what happened during the arrest, right? Not sure what the point of bringing up his employment history would be.

Probably immaterial to the case. Unless the defense wants to mount a jury nullification argument.

Is anyone going to highlight the fact that he was resisting from the very second the officers approached him while he was in his vehicle? Even after he was cuffed and sitting on the ground..when they got him back on his feet he was still resisting.

Is it though? None of this would have happened had George Floyd been able to pay legal currency for his vices.

I believe Minneapolis police follow a “proportionality” doctrine when using restraints. Prosecution is trying to prove that at some point prior to Floyd losing consciousness, he was neutralized as a threat. (While laying on the ground in the prone position with hands in cuffs.) prosecution is trying to prove that at some point the officers should have begun acting in their secondary capacity as first responders and addressed Floyd’s breathing difficulties.

The prosecution isn’t denying the initial need to apply proportional force to restrain Floyd. But they are arguing that Chauvin exceeded what was necessary and exacerbated Floyd’s condition.
