Four days ago is when I strayed maying more attention to this and listening to testimony. If anyone has an answer, I would appreciate it.
Going back through the thread, it looks like the 98% if from a (close) post Mortem ABG. That alone doesn't make sense to me.

Sketch comment for sure, but answer me this...
Why would CBS (or any other media outlet) want this to go murder conviction?
Having a verdict of manslaughter or acquittal damn near guarantees them riot/race relation news and stories through the entire summer, if not rest of the year.
Seems like they’d be set for a while if DC wound up with a lesser charge. By intimidating these witnesses, the story will last through sentencing and then be put to bed.
The media is always looking for low-hanging fruit.

Disagree. Acquittal yes, manslaughter verdict no.

I need somebody who is biased toward conviction here to try to answer this for me:
How can Floyd have died of lack of oxygen like the pulmonologist said in round 1 if he had an oxygen saturation of 98% at the time he died like the same guy said in round 2? Maybe I just don't understand, but that seems significant to me.
I mean at some point he stopped breathing and died, so that gets you to a lower saturation at some point. So I guess maybe the question is when did they get the 98%?
I was wondering the same thing but I didn’t watch the whole trial and I am not sure in what context this was discussed. I do know that if it was an immediate blood draw, which would be unusual for paramedics to do, it would be a significant finding. If he was in a asystole, when picked up, there would be no pulse oximetry to read, due to no blood circulation. Another way for him to have that reading is if they are actively resuscitating him with an ambu bag, doing chest compressions, creating a circulation. With effective chest compressions, the circulation would be effective enough to give a pulse oximetry reading. Now PAO2 values and Pulse ox values are two different things. PAO2 can be obtained from an arterial blood draw and a reading of 80+ would be normal. Most of our Covid patients have PAO2 values between 40-60, which are critically low.
FYI, I am not biased towards conviction, I believe Chauvin should be acquitted. I suspect Floyd was having a sublethal arrhythmia that went untreated, one that would be treated with cardioversion or chemical conversion, and taxed his heart to the point that it converted into a lethal one.

I read and posted earlier than the 98% was found in an ABG draw at the hospital. I don't know why I didn't think about the effects of CPR. Thanks for that.

I may be reading too much into it, but statement analysis of the Judges's words yesterday... He said that the Defense will certainly have a case to appeal the decision. That means to me, that there will be somekind of charge.

You are reading too much into that.

I assume there isn't any one OT Lounge endorsed media outlet to follow during the verdict readings, etc.

Exactly my question too.
My next question is how high can CPR make your O2 saturation go up especially since GF had no pulse for an extended period of time.

So, then why not an outcry by the State of Minnesota to CBS?
And further, how did CBS get their hands on the jury list of names?
I think they meant they have a list that looks like this
Juror 8: white female 20s
Juror 22: black male 40s
Etc....

Where is Bull Connor and his boys when Minnesota needs them?
Just an hour of that for the Black Mask crew and I think their troubles would be all over with in Minneapolis. Knowing they would get their skulls caved in would do wonders for clearing the streets all over.

Man, you've shown your arse continuously in this thread and continue to get angrier and angrier about it.
Do you know how jury selection works? You've made it pretty clear throughout that you do not.
You know the defense chooses the jurors, right? You keep focusing on their racial and gender makeup saying they weren't favorable to Chauvin, BUT THE DEFENSE SELECTED THEM.
I think Chauvin should be acquitted and I think the evidence shows a hung jury at best, but you're focusing on the wrong things here.

I think they’ve gone to bed. Surely they don’t want the reputation of the OJ jury. I’m expecting Wednesday/Thursday.
That seems really fast for a verdict here.

Philonise Floyd on NBC Today show with Crump. Unreal these people are being broadcast.
Few points they made:
When asked what they would tell people who are protesting....”remain peaceful but we can’t control the people. They are hurting”
When asked about Waters being brought up...”it’s a distraction to exonerate the cop. This doesn’t happen when a black man is on the stand - just a white cope who killed unarmed black men”
This is pure insanity.

It will be interesting to see how the protest crowd reacts if he is found guilty.
Would they all go home peacefully, celebrate in a civilized manner?

Their MSM business side wants a hung jury with riots and a retrial. But all of the MSM progressive bleeding hearts are rooting for a murder conviction. It’s painfully obvious.

not really. You have to remember that most of the jurors are heading back to that room with an idea of where they want to start. I don't think there is a lot of the 15 days worth of evidence that is really disputed here. For instance, the entire first week wont even need to be discussed. This is going to come down to each persons interpretation of certain things and a feeling of what they believe should have happened.

Quite the opposite. I think the jury favors DC very well for a hung jury

JUROR NO. 19
Juror No. 19 is a white man in his 30s. He is an auditor who said he tries to resolve conflict and make decisions based on facts, not emotions. He has a friend who is a canine officer with the Minneapolis Police Department.
He said he supports Black Lives Matter as a general concept but disagrees with some of the ways group members go about things. He has an unfavorable opinion of Blue Lives Matter. He wrote in his questionnaire that he heard Floyd was on hard drugs, but said he doesn’t believe it should have much impact on the case. “Whether you are under the influence of drugs doesn’t determine whether you should be living or dead,” he said.

So he is voting guilty on all counts.
