What reputation? I remember much of it but not all. Definitely remember verdict coming down.
Ummmm, that they knew OJ murdered Ron and Nicole and let him off specifically for Rodney King? And the big thing is on a trial that lasted for 8 months they only discussed it for 3 hours. I think in the least they’ll want to check off those boxes no matter what the conviction is.

They should dox all the media members. Hell, someone tell the rioters of the vast riches they keep unlocked in their homes which definitely don’t have any guns since they hate the 2nd amendment

Yep, that sentence was definitely violated there. They directly told them they know where they live and who their friends and family are. I don’t care about the lawyer speech about not directly saying they have their name, they provided enough information there to incriminate them.

Lol, like some current DA in the State of Minnesota will enforce that law.

I need somebody who is biased toward conviction here to try to answer this for me:
How can Floyd have died of lack of oxygen like the pulmonologist said in round 1 if he had an oxygen saturation of 98% at the time he died like the same guy said in round 2? Maybe I just don't understand, but that seems significant to me.
I mean at some point he stopped breathing and died, so that gets you to a lower saturation at some point. So I guess maybe the question is when did they get the 98%?

It's a bit of a reach to say that is a veiled threat, although plausible.
I think the media would LOVE for a hung jury so they can cover the outrage, the riots, etc, so I don't know why they'd be threatening them.
edit: just to be clear, I would not be shocked at all if the media had a guest on that threatened the jurors and faced very little blowback from it.

quote:Cmon. Put yourself on the jury. You know you're making a decision that could lead to massive destruction by people who have proven to be violent extremists and now a third party who is desperate for ratings is claiming they have your name and address right as you sit to make a decision. That is threatening, and you know it.

How is it any different than a mafia tactic saying he can’t guarantee protection of his establishment unless he paid them money?

Did the courts ever explicitly tell these jurors that their identities will be kept secret?

Yes

Maybe I’m ignorant, but isn’t that their constitutional obligation? Someone with a law degree, please clarify.

So, then why not an outcry by the State of Minnesota to CBS?
And further, how did CBS get their hands on the jury list of names?
Posted on 4/19/21 at 10:25 pm to OMLandshark
It was seriously 3 hours only? That’s what I didn’t remember.

They could just be making it up. It’s mainstream media, after all.

All things are different. That's why they're not the same.
They are talking to fill up space, about the gravity of the situation (which is true), and they lack motive. They are basically acting like they are getting inside info because that's what "journalists" do. The information about their race, profession, general neighborhood location, age, their responses to questions, etc is already out there. I guess the court releases that info?
I've seen more clear shots across the bow than the CBS News conversation you linked. USA Today, for example, wrote a piece on each juror 2 weeks ago and said they'll learn more by the time they go into deliberation.
These frickers want to see everything burn to the ground. How do you get that? A hung jury.

Yep. It’s been going on for less than a month, and surely someone in that jury remembers it. If nothing for appearances sake, I think they’ll drag this out a day since that’s all either side will be talking about in the lead-up to the verdict each side assuming the worst if they announce it shortly.

Should a verdict be known early, I suspect they hold onto until at least schools are dismissed tomorrow.
High school kids need Jordan’s and stuff from Target too.
