How long will the jury take to offer an outcome (guilty/not guilty - hung is another matter) and will the amount of time taken reflect or offer any insight as to whether the outcome was predetermined or ‘inevitable’?

For example, there is a predetermined unanimity on the outcome. Does the jury blast it out in 15 minutes, thus tipping their hand in terms of predetermination?

Conversely, do the spend a day (8 hours, maybe) so as to ‘legitimize’ their deliberation?

Is there an amount of time in deliberation, once spent or not spent, that either is more likely to legitimize or more likely to undermine their deliberations?

Thoughts/opinions?...

How can Floyd have died of lack of oxygen like the pulmonologist said in round 1 if he had an oxygen saturation of 98% at the time he died like the same guy said in round 2? Maybe I just don't understand, but that seems significant to me.

Exactly my question too.

My next question is how high can CPR make your O2 saturation go up especially since GF had no pulse for an extended period of time.
First of all, the pulmonologist was full of shite. Your first clue was when he calculated lung volume based on watching a video. Secondly, there is no way GF had a 98% sat and no pulse. From my experience, ABG draws from a patient that has coded, are extremely hard to procure from a wrist, since you cannot feel a non-existent pulse to know where to stick. Unless things have changed, the only person qualified to do a femoral artery draw, is a doctor. If GF had no pulse for several minutes (no pulse before EMS arrived, no chest compressions or ventilation until loaded into the ambulance) that would have to be the most effective CPR ever done in the history of medicine to achieve a 98% sat from an ABG.

I'm calling shenanigans. If that number is true, then he had a pulse. Someone fricked up, either way.

not really. You have to remember that most of the jurors are heading back to that room with an idea of where they want to start. I don't think there is a lot of the 15 days worth of evidence that is really disputed here. For instance, the entire first week wont even need to be discussed. This is going to come down to each persons interpretation of certain things and a feeling of what they believe should have happened.

You still have to go through all charges and get jurors to come to a unanimous decision.

He said he supports Black Lives Matter as a general concept but disagrees with some of the ways group members go about things. He has an unfavorable opinion of Blue Lives Matter. He wrote in his questionnaire that he heard Floyd was on hard drugs, but said he doesn’t believe it should have much impact on the case. “Whether you are under the influence of drugs doesn’t determine whether you should be living or dead,” he said.

So he is voting guilty on all accounts.

That's not set in stone from his answers. First of all, it sounds like that person is objective. Of course we all believe black lives matter. An objective person can say that and disagree with burning down cities. Of course being on drugs shouldn't be punishable by death. An objective person can see that this person wasn't executed by the police because he was on drugs, and there is more to it.

Secondly, all of those answers lead me to believe that he said everything he could to get on that jury.

It will be interesting to see how the protest crowd reacts if he is found guilty.

Would they all go home peacefully, celebrate in a civilized manner?

Ever see what happens when a Pro sports team win a championship? This will be like that, on steroids! If acquitted, ghettos across the country will burn.

I’ve been on a few juries and the first thing we did when we got in the deliberation room was take a vote to see how far apart everyone was. This was over 12 years ago, back then you didn’t need an unanimous jury.

if only they had some form of force of people sworn to protect and serve the people of the community so that acts of ill repute go accounted for and get punished

Do you know how jury selection works

You should probably know what you're talking about before you try and smack talk others.

The defense AND the prosecution choose the jurors. Thats why they BOTH get a certain amount of strikes to use against prospective jurists that they don't want. They also BOTH question the prospective jurist.

Expecting riots in your Frisco burbs? Do we need to send in the militia? All is quiet in my culdesac in Flower Mound, but I'm ready for the roving mobs.

So either way are we expecting riots to be really bad? Across the US? Imagine if he is not guilty will it be like Rodney King?

Already one step ahead of you. My vehicle was stolen in Dallas Saturday with my gun in the glove box. Onstar officially stopped tracking it yesterday and told me to find something new.

They're going to make an example of Derek Chauvin. The jury is not going to make an honest decision because of all of the threats. It's so messed up. It's amazing how BLM and the media get what they want with constant whining and unification.
