Interesting.

Tell me about the criminal verdict as regards murder in that movie.

You seem hellbent against anything that makes Chauvin look bad. Your boy is an a-hole. That’s indisputable. A murderer??? “Hey. That’s why we go to trial.” Another great movie quote.

I started in this thread saying I’m not picking a fight with a cop and want to pick a cops brain.

That’s really all I wanted.

Where are y’all getting that number?

The toxicology report said 11ng/ml (n, as in nanogram)

Nanograms (ng) not milligrams (mg).

Just for clarity.

Like the uninformed, emotionally-driven opinions of people like you? Sure.

A man is on trial for his life. Facts matter.

Don’t opiate overdoses have a drowning like effect? Fluid backs up in the lungs? I’m 60/40 positive I’ve read that a few times??

I don't think there's fluid buildup. I think it reduces your respiratory rate to the point where die from lack of oxygen.

Not a doctor, though.

The man had 11 ml of fentanyl

Millimeters??

What’s that mean? Pure? Concentration? Medical? Carfentanyl, which is vet grade.

Maybe you missed the part where I said:

Since the patriot Chauvin is not being charged with conduct unbecoming, why don't you try answering the question?

The lethal dose of fentanyl is generally stated to be 2 milligrams. lmao found a poster that doesn't know the difference in LD50 and blood concentration, nor the difference in ng vs mg. 11ng refers to floyds blood concentration 2 mg refers to avg lethal dose. FYI Dosage =/= blood concentration, and ng is 3 decimal places below mg.

his blood concentration was about half the upper limit normal used as an add on with stronger anesthesia medications. even in the context of polysubstance, his blood levels have an incredible likelihood of surviving had he not been asphyxiated by Chauvin.

Some of yall clearly accessed misinformation and went to town with it.

Kinda like "hands up, don't shoot" and "Chauvin choked the felon to death"?

Pretty much anything that doesn’t cause a very quick death will result in fluid in the lungs as the heart fails to pump sufficiently and blood backs up in the lungs, forcing fluid into the alveolar spaces.

Opioid overdose autopsies often show cerebral edema, pulmonary edema, and urinary retention. These are very weak signs though as they can be seen so often in other types of cases. Overdose deaths depend on toxicology findings as well as correlation with information from the scene (especially due to confounding issues with tox testing such as postmortem redistribution and tolerance). The footage of Floyd prior to death will be central to the case much more so than the particular numerical value detected in blood, and I’m sure many ME’s would would have differing opinions on to what degree this case appears to be an opioid overdose.

I will agree that the number of people confusing ng with mg, and further confusing a concentration with a total quantity is cringe.

It's equally interesting he can sit in his own vehicle without spazzing out, but when he sits in a police car he goes all Fred Sanford.

His knee was on his neck for a well documented amount of time. This is also fact. Had he not, none of us would be here.

You keep bringing up emotion. Hell I will bite. It appears Chauvin was enjoying kneeling on this dude. Again, maybe there was history. Maybe Floyd spit in his face maybe they had dealings before. But it appeared Chauvin was grinding his knee into his neck at certain points. Totally emotional point. There it is.
