Sigh. This isn't going to end well for someone (Chauvin) or if it does, then the city will burn.

I'm interested to see the full body camera footage and how different it is from what the State offered. I would imagine it shows something significant, or in Chauvin's favor, if the defense is trying to get the entire footage admitted as evidence.

Fair play to you. I've been out of uniform for a decade.

EDIT: Also, as I'm sure you're aware, this is not a civil trial.

Most police forces have their own policy on rendering aid..sure Minneapolis does.

Most of them give them that requirement if things are safe or until better trained personnel arrive.

The window of this is about a minute because other than that he was moving and breathing and EMS is on site just not to Floyd yet.

And it clearly says in this slide above to get EMS on scene quickly. It states nothing about rendering aid. Nobody wants to admit it, but it's the police dept's problem, not Chauvin's.

I know. The cases I have are for shootings but there are others. Point being that the plaintiffs lawyers have had success with going from Use of Force to a Duty to Provide Aid. It's not hard to see how a jury could get there.

Sounds like you're conflating criminal and civil scenarios.

Civil trials are the wild west. File a suit for nearly anything against nearly anyone.

In terms of criminal prosecution, police do not have to render aid. I have case citations FWIW.

There are plenty of civil cases where the Plaintiffs have prevailed in "Duty to Provide Aid" against police. The argument goes: "If you carry a gun and can foreseeably use it on someone, you should be trained and equipped to provide them aid afterwards."

Don't see how anyone could sit through those videos and think that was anything other than an overdose.

The fricker killed himself and America burned for it...

its a lot like the Mike Brown case...

we're told one thing, or we see a video clip and then make conclusions, cities burn

then evidence comes out, oppps...cop is let go of all charges, city burns a second time

it's not fair to America to have the police videos withhedl from us

I mean dang...that's very compelling, at the very least, most people aren't going to say 'murder'...they are going to say, that man was a drugged out fool...shame and then move on

but nope, we're going to burn America over bad intel

then a second time because blacks think the country is rigged against them

I get it. Just pointing out the statment "Police have no duty to provide aid" isn't a completely true statement anymore. I predict you will see that changing shortly across the board soon as well given the Progressive moves to eliminate Qualified Immunity. These idiots don't realize they are going to make it impossible to police.

BUT, for purposes of this criminal prosecution, there was no Duty to provide aid. Before I get accused of a Dukke V style argument. I agree with y'all.

Should have masked up.

If it saves one life.

Chauvin fricked up. Floyd was going to die regardless. He knew it himself. Kept saying the entire time he was done. Chauvin fricked up not realizing this dude was ODing. The mob and Minnesota law don't give a damn about the facts. They see that knee on the neck and that's all they care about. It's all about appeasing the mob.

Link to the hero Chauvin's training record or medical experience recognizing ODs?

Those videos today show the knee wasn't even on the neck, it was on his back in between his shoulders

Wrong. They asked him multiple times if he took something, he said no. He had a chance to fess up and get help but chose not to. In fact, your entire post is overly emotional and ignoring the plain truth.
