The weight of the gear had little if nothing to do with it. Look how the foot of Chauvin's same leg that's on Floyd appears to be in an adjustable position compared to his other foot. He's probably got at least 75% of his weight on his other side balanced by his toe being perpendicular to the ground. Look how Floyd is in a bench press type position with his right arm trying to get up.
Also interesting to note even though officers outnumbered Floyd I've read most of those officers were new to the force and Chauvin was training them. Floyd appears to me to be a lot bigger and stronger than Chauvin. Or, any of them for that matter.

Okay, you have me on all of this as being possible and that we should wait for all the facts on whether what he did was procedure, correct pressure, excited delerium, etc. All that works as a possible defense....UNTIL you lose me. And that’s when the guy loses consciousness and he stays on his neck for 3 more minutes (or whatever it was), refuses to get off and render aid. At that point, his actions are indefensible. At that point it becomes murder.

I'm not some activist picking sides..I thought murder too..however, his pulse was checked by cops on film and I think he was alive in the ambulance..my point is on the lead up..if this ExDs thing is real..as doc in thread says is, then guy is getting off

I haven’t read through this entire thread but I’m sure it’s probably been pointed out that the jury will be at least 8 out of 12 Black Atlantans. The four non Black jurors will be made up of either white or Latino women. Those cops are in deep dung. No less than manslaughter 1 is coming.

Wrong. It will all depend upon the jurisdiction he’s tried in and the racial composition of the jury. Chauvin will ask for and will receive a change of venue. Where he’s tried will make all the difference in the world.
The only difference between Chauvin and OJ is that once OJ got venue removed to Los Angeles and got one black person on his jury, he was scot-free. The whole trial was just a clown show starring Johnny Cochran. Even if Chauvin gets 12 white people on his jury, he may still go down because these people will realize the riots that will ensue if he’s let off.

Yea my bad I got the two cases confused between Atlanta and Minneapolis. With so many different cases of unarmed Black Americans being killed by police its hard to keep up with which one is which. Thank you for being nice about correcting me and not being cruel.
