I see the Casen defender finally seems to have exited the thread. Her primary argument that "she probably wanted to have sex with the 17 y/o" was based on her misreading of the affadavit

Projection on your part. You've been wrong throughout this thread.

The Kiran report said there's a third rape charge by Washington being investigated as well.
LINK
That sounds like another Walker / Livingston Parish charge.

UWK is told Washington is also the suspect in another alleged rape. That incident allegedly happened in Livingston Parish in 2021. UWK has reached out to Washington through his father for a comment to this report. So far, the family has not released a statement or decided to speak about the case.

None of us are the court. It is public opinion.

Ok. For all of you saying the Washington family is blindly defending him (the “dindo nuffin” narrative), take heed.
According to Kiran, the Washington family has done no such thing.

It was based on past information, not this case.

Sorry, but not giving the Advocate a click to read that. Can you post some quotes?

Didn't the 12 year old happen in 2019, reported in 2020, then buried until a week ago? Then they actually started investigating and interviewed the other people present.
This new one from 2021 has not been widely publicized yet.
I do not blame his family for remaining silent. Any comments bring anger towards them, and they may also be sick of the little bastard.

From the Advocate op ed:
and
quote:
Louisiana ranks 2nd in the nation for women killed by men, with the rate increasing steadily for 6 consecutive years. While rates of sex crimes are difficult to track because of reporting issues, statistics indicate Louisiana ranks high. Louisiana has a rate of about 46 rapes per 100,000 people in 2020, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Crime Data Explorer. The U.S. average is about 38 per 100,000. It is estimated that about 80% of rapes and sexual assaults go unreported.
and
quote:
While those kinds of solutions are important in addressing the safety of women on campus, experts say more needs to be done to protect women more broadly. The high rates of inequity women experience in Louisiana reflect a deeply embedded culture of misogyny, said Jeanis.
“Rape is about power and control the vast majority of the time,” said Jeanis. “If we don't think highly about women – if we think they say no, and they really mean yes, they wear certain clothes because they want unasked for contact, if we think that if we're both drunk, then I don't have to worry about consent – if I have those belief systems, that dramatically increases my likelihood of committing a sexual assault.”

No one has defended their actions.
The only issues are whether she was capable of understanding the act given her intoxication, and whether that was knowable to the accused.
There is some evidence suggesting she was capable.
The weight of what we know now leads me to believe she was not. But it isn’t crystal clear.
