There are degrees to that. You can make a reasonable argument that sobriety and consent are on a spectrum, not a single hard line. It's on the prosecutor to argue that Brooks was well on the bad end of that spectrum.

Reggie's sold alcohol to:
1. Someone under 21
2. Someone who already was drunk.
Reggie's is liable civil and possibly criminally for doing 1 and 2.
Can they be sued for her death? I'm sure they will be.

So you’re OK with bars serving underage students to the point of being black out drunk? You are OK with bars not monitoring their parking lots for students who are blackout drunk?
