Offering a severely inebriated girl weed before they coerce her to rape sex? i'd say its pretty important part of a legal case.

BAC of .319 is much more relevant, but you've proven to get hung up on the most ridiculous of details.

Kennedy v Louisiana

Worst decision ever. If you are going to use the death penalty for anything, child rape should be it.

I'm not a huge death penalty guy. I think the process is flawed, slow, and too often unfair.

But if you are going to have a death penatly, child rape is the thing you want to use it for.

How sad of a state of affairs when this matters in order to secure justice for a victim.

Look at the comments on the WAFB articles, then look at the profile pictures.

It really is quite comical that some folks actually believe that most women desire spontaneous anal sex in a car.

I feel sorry for their stepsisters. Or stepmoms.

MJ can be traced in your system for weeks. It's is almost not even worth mentioning in this specific case.

EXCLUSIVE: 'The judge has already put his thumb on the scale': Legal expert fears Louisiana justice has JEOPARDIZED Madi Brooks rape case for 'inappropriately' commenting on evidence and condemning four accused men before trial

Tell you one thing though - this story is definitely going to kill Reggie's, possibly ALL of Tigerland in the process, and will be a tremendous nightmare for LSU. The national spotlight is getting bigger and bigger and honestly, will hopefully finally end up with some kind of justice for ALL of these victims of late.

I think BR was waiting for the thunder to be called down. Looks like they finally got it.

Would the bar have any legal culpability?

Maybe. I don't know what the dram shop laws are in Louisiana.

I can see the parents suing the bar.

They could maybe put that bar out of business. But I would bet good money it does not have insurance that covers the claim, or not much. And its only real asset is going to be its location and its cash flow. Unless the parents want to own the bar and run it the way it has been run, not much value there.

That said, if I were Gordon or Dudley Debossier or Spencer Callahan, I would take the case for a zero percent contingency fee and be sure everyone knew I had done that. You can't buy that kind of advertising.

I feel so bad for her family.

I hate to see any family lose a child. To have the sordid details of that loss spread all over the globe, well, that just seems worse than death. I cannot imagine how those poor people must feel.

I can see Dateline NBC and Nancy Grace all over this.

"Dead white girl" = media fodder.

Been top story on Daily Mail last 2 or 3 days which means it's getting 'hits' there.

As for as the pot goes, if she was given alcohol or drugs in the car would be relevant. Rape charge can be upgraded to first degree (2 perps). Can add kidnapping.

I find it hard to believe they'd tape her post sex talking but not one of them had video of the actual rape. They may have tried to delete it but it's still there on a device or in the iCloud. Look for that to show up at some point.

You do realize it’s ok for people to have diff thoughts, opinions and questions relating to an incident don’t you ?

I’ve read this entire thread.
Every person imaginable; from bar tenders to bouncers to the perps to the driver of the car to the friends of the deceased to the president of lsu has been blamed.

I talked to my teenage daughter last night about this story…
My message was clear: when YOU choose to make bad choices bad things can happen and often do.
Obviously this story is worst case scenario and terrible sad ending to this young ladies life.

Yeah they don’t have any standing on that. Louisiana dram shop law prevents any damages suffered once they leave the bar. Would have to prove the events started at the bar. Only if there’s a kidnapping charge then they could say the crime started at the bar parking lot.

Yes this is a capital crime. Supreme Court has a decision called Kennedy v Louisiana which overturned that if victim doesn’t die but this case may or may not fall under that. Likely long appeal if I had to guess

None of this is a capital crime. Calm down

You've been a complete buffoon with every post in this thread. Sure, that's your right to do. But I'll comment on it if I want to.
