The hell i didn't. that's not the rapists saying that trying to cover their arse, it's the cops saying they saw it on video.

So you aren't speculating what her BAC was upon arrival to Reggies?

Seriously, are you a actually lawyer?

Sure, it happens. But it's not relevant to this situation. People in this thread have been so hung up on "she would have never," "no one ever," "well what if" scenarios.

I didn't know this girl so I'm not going to pretend to know what she would or would not do. And it's not particularly relevant. I'm also not going to get hung up on the prevalence of group sex.

About the only thing that could sway me at this point would be if there was video evidence of her stone cold sober saying to these guys that she wanted to go out, get blasted, and then have sex with them in the car near comatose.

But we don't have that. Or anything close to it. What we do have is statements from two of the individuals involved stating that she was beyond drunk. That they offered her a ride home but she couldn't even remember where she lived. And that at least one of them had sex with her.

All this other stuff is bullshite.

100% in agreement.

Was the bed wetter from Oak Ridge? Because I've definitely heard the exact same story from a different person, but it's the exact same story and NATidefan did not in fact leave out any details.

There is so many layers to this situation:
the bar serving and letting underage in (those arrested)
the bar serving the girl who was also underage
the girl herself, highly intoxicated and traces of marijuana
the four arrested, two of which committed act, two that witnessed act
Dropping her off after incident
Run over by unrelated person to incident
No sorority friends present or with her or there to help her
LSU students
Non LSU students
Accident occurred a good ways from the bar
If they were worried about her why not bring her back to the bar area although it was pretty late at that point

EXCLUSIVE: 'The judge has already put his thumb on the scale': Legal expert fears Louisiana justice has JEOPARDIZED Madi Brooks rape case for 'inappropriately' commenting on evidence and condemning four accused men before trial

Setting up to judge shop / appeal.

The 'thumb on scale' was simply to say the video didn't prove their story she consented but showed instead her incapacity.

BAC of .319

I’m sure most guys go to bar with a BAC reader in their back pocket….. furthermore what diff does it make if it’s .319 or .099 as it pertains to the charges against them?
Seems to me legally drunk is legally drunk.

I can’t help but wonder how peoples opinions would change had that number been lower.

Fwiw I had no idea a person could even blow that.
Never heard of a BAC being that high.

It really is quite comical that some folks actually believe that most women desire spontaneous anal sex in a car.

If the number were lower, far lower, there might be an issue of consent.

No human being can consent at that number. And no human being would remotely look or act like they could consent at that number. You'd know it if you saw them. That's the point.

You're so caught up in wanting to believe that i think this wasn't rape that you are incapable of rationale thought.

SHE WAS RAPED DUMBASS. stop trying to act as if i don't think this.

Yeah this is plain wrong. Judge should consider all available evidence at arraignment in order to adhere to the burden of proof to proceed with case. If judge had disregarded the defendants evidence presented and not discussed it then he also could be setting grounds to appeal.

I see you conveniently don't address the fact that you speculated.

Offering a severely inebriated girl weed before they coerce her to rape sex? i'd say its pretty important part of a legal case.

Would the bar have any legal culpability?

In most states, it's illegal to serve someone clearly drunk. A .3 BAC is almost unconscious drunk.

When I bartender, we cut off people who were getting sloppy drunk.

I can see the parents suing the bar.

I feel so bad for her family. Such a horrific tragedy. I hope those young men get what they deserve.
