Looks like something you'd see at a Tool concert.

The two angels that visited Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah were in human form. Not to shabby coming from an atheist.

No scriptural description ever has them looking as mild and human-like as we see depicted in art through the ages. In reality, their appearance is pretty terrifying. I know I sure don't want to see one anytime soon!

Some of you people need to read a Bible every now and then. Apparently they look human. Gen. 19
i dont need to do shite. if i want to read fantasy i'll read something good.
second, plenty of places as the op listed where they are distinctly not described as human.

Some of you guys really read into these things too hard.
Just accept that aliens are future humans that have time travelled back for research.

threads like this seem to really bring out the bottom of the barrel of OT posters.
It wasn't a depiction of what angels look like, it was a vision that God showed him. It was a vision of God's throne & the 4 cherubim's operating the 4 wheels of this throne.
If you're really interested in understanding what's happening here, I'd recommend that you read the entire book of Ezekiel instead of just bits & pieces of a vision to make angels seem like scary figures.
Keep reading into the book of Daniel & he has the same vision of this chariot throne.

We learn in Ezekiel 10:14 that these creatures are cherubims which is a specific rank of angels.
quote:
Comparing his vision to Babylonian iconography reveals that Ezekiel saw a divine “throne chariot” of the heavens—widely described in the ancient biblical world. Just as human kings had chariots, so did deities. A deity would traverse the heavens in his chariot throne, inspecting his domain and exercising authority over it.
Bible scholars say the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. The wheels display the omnipotence and omnipresence of God. The cherubims had different faces. Man is considered the king of the earth and has dominance over the animals and rules the earth. The lion is considered the king of the jungle and represents strength, fierceness, and commands respect. The ox symbolizes strength, honesty, and hard work. The eagle is the king of the air. It has an all-seeing eye. It represents victory, speed, royalty, release from bondage, longevity, and power. The eagle because of its dominance represents inspiration. The eyes around the wheel portray an all-knowing God who sees the good and the bad no matter which way a man turns.
quote:
When Ezekiel saw this vision, he fell upon his face. God spoke to him in Ezekiel 2 saying “Stand upon thy feet, and I will speak to thee.”

God's Glory left Israel as they left Him for Paganism.
That's quite the blueprint for what we see happening today.

Michael and Gabriel are recognized as archangels in Judaism, Islam, and by most Christians.

Those are descriptions of UFOs not angels FWIW. They had nothing to compare seeing a UFO too so angels was the best they could do. Kind of like American Indians calling trains Iron Horses.

I never gave much thought to what it meant. I just thought it was some cold-blooded shite to say to a motherfricker before I popped a cap in his arse.

How are demons described in the Bible? Serious question
I can't think of any physical description in the Bible, to be honest. Most instances I can think of had them non-corporeal but possessing someone/something else.
Why do you ask?
