wonder why states like Colorado basically had zero delta spike?

It isn't 600 degrees outside and everyone is indoors together

Not sending Covid infected illegals to Colorado... Just to the States that give them issues.

When do they typically update the site? When I check it is still yesterday’s data (1.80) but says 7/28

So the Ro value for delta has never been above 1.5

But they say it is as contagious as chicken pox which is Ro of 10?

In some way we were. In January the vaccinated rate was probably around 10% If this strain would have happened in January then we would have been in a world of hurt!

Allowing millions of illegals into the country doesn't bother you?

Just to be clear, asking sincerely.

I looked it up- R0 is predictive, Rt is actual, real time stats

LINK

quote:

Pronounced R-naught and known also as the basic reproductive number, it refers to how many other people will catch the disease from a single infected person, in a population that hasn’t been exposed to the disease before. If R0 is below one, the epidemic eventually peters out. Above one, it will grow, possibly exponentially.

quote:

The actual or “effective” version of the reproductive number, as opposed to the basic version, is known as Rt—that is, the virus’s actual transmission rate at a given time, t.

I thought the Rt got as high as 1.9 before it started falling.

ETA: ok now I’m somewhat confused. The site said 1.8 yesterday though I’m guessing newer data basically retroactively updated that.

The only thing that sort of concerns me is that because of all of these idiots not getting vaccinated, the virus will continue to evolve and get stronger to the point it is stronger than the vaccine, but until that starts to happen I don't see the point in reporting all of these numbers and getting people worked up. if it takes out someone who isn't vaccinated, then that's one less unvaccinated person we don't have to worry about.

Using your flawed fear porn liberal logic, people not getting vaccinated and getting it is the best case scenario for people like you bc they either 1. Get it and become actually immune from getting it again or transmitting it (better than you with your vaccine who can still get it just not get as sick, and still transmit it) or in the ultimate liberal idiocy fear porning 2. They die from it. Which again is great for, one less non obedient host to have to worry about.

In either case, people not getting the vaccine and getting sick gets us closer to this all being over much faster than people wearing masks, shutting in at home and getting a “vaccine”

I thought a virus got weaker because it wants to live, it can’t live if it kills everyone. I don’t know shite but that’s what I thought.
