Galveston, Texas, reported a peak sustained wind of 52 mph (83 km/h)
and a gust to 60 mph (96 km/h) within the past hour.

Good call. I still have birds visiting but plan on taking them down in BR at around 2pm. Also a good chance to clean them well and dry them before they go back up to prevent mold as they are used less frequently in the fall.

Also had one fly into a glass door. An ornithologist friend told me to offer it a capful of nectar. It climbed onto my finger, drank, then flew off like nothing happened.

I’d leave them up. Little guys still feed during high winds. Pretty impressive to see.

they're not going to change intensity in a position update alert
