Anyone in the Walker area? My s/o wants to go to Covington. Trying to convince her we’ll be okay

If you live in walker, you will not be ok...and it has nothing to do with the hurricane

Current storm surge projections
Can be found under "surge potential" on Mike's Weather Page. It doesn't update automatically with the runs, but eventually posts new updates.
HMON was the first model to see Sally's turn. HMON and HWRF have been fairly good models to follow this season, GFS second.
I hope we all stay safe.

Calendar year named storm deductibles are pretty common even with independent insurers. Generally you meat that deductible amount in the year and you do not have to pay out any deductible again when it comes to a named storm
Your AOP deductible should never be applied in this instance as it has nothing to do with a named storm (unless you have a hurricane deductible, then the AOP would apply to a tropical storm or wind/hail event)

Is this thing going to hit west of Marsh Island?

Is “hurricane sustained winds” the “OT10” of this thread?
Just as elusive it sounds like.

Now considering staying in Lafayette. Guess I’ll wait to make the call. What’s everybody doing?

I live in Lafayette and have a LOT of family here ... as of right now we're all staying.

It’s really amazing how on Storm2k the posting in the model threads comes to nearly a dead stop once it is confirmed that it can’t make it to TX. That board is so Texas heavy and man, they want every storm really bad. They have been so wet with every westward nudge but today they seem to have finally given up hope.
