I’m surprised the tip of the Yucatán weakened it this much. Storms seem to survive that better most times

I’m not sure why anyone would use State Farm for homeowners.

A little PSA for my Lafayette friends:
I tried to find hurricane clips all day today with no luck. BUT, Stines is getting a large shipment in over night tonight and will have more available tomorrow. I know this isn’t a huge deal but those clips are way better than having to drill into your exterior walls.

I know that Laura was a projected landfall as a Cat 2. Overachieved by almost 50mph i believe.
Maybe early on but IIRC 24 hours prior to landfall it was expected to be a strong 3 to 4

Now considering staying in Lafayette. Guess I’ll wait to make the call. What’s everybody doing?
Staying. All I need is to get gas for the generator because I will lose electricity, and I have to be back at work on Monday.

Just the tip can work wonders sometimes...

In this case the tip counts

That’s kind of a this thread only thing though. Harvey comes up with any Texas threat and/or stall threat.

At least you don't cut holes in hammocks and let them poop on you like John MacAfee
