Hope it dwindles out into a depression before landfall so they can’t get the ratings they crave
People not getting fricked and losing their homes would also be a nice outcome of this

Did you see the tweet I linked last night about how cool the cloud tops were prior to landfall on the Yucatan?
At some point during the series of naps that is my sleep schedule.
You know what it kind of reminded me of? Sally when it made that first run to "Cat 2". No eye visible but a big ole blob of deep convection. It had some pesky mid-level shear too at that point. Delta did the same thing, but with that elite heat content in the WCab it got a colder cloud tops out of it. I'm sure it was pushing like -90.

don’t understand this statement. Windy.com shows the Euro model as default and has options for GFS and NAM. So the global models nailed Laura? Good to know
Windy.com users are laughed at by real weather nerds.

You cannot see from the angle of the photo but it is hooked with bailing twine to the rear of his house.

Calcasieu already had a press briefing scheduled for 5 PM. Pretty sure it’s coming.

Here's the tweet:

is the general thought on this: the stronger, the further east?
