I can deal with that here in LC
the thing is, that's basically the edge of acceptability
ANY more west and it's going to be an epic shite show

Guess best case is eye passing over jennings. Splits the difference between the larger population centers of laffy and LC

All is well in 2020.
All of this because I don't give a damn about pecans...

In terms of Louisiana, Delta’s effects will depend heavily upon its intensity. It does seem really, really cruel that this storm will probably make landfall not too far from where Hurricane Laura did so in August. However, we do think Delta’s winds will probably be less at landfall than Laura, and surge as well. Because the storm is expected to be moving fairly quickly to the north-northeast, rainfall amounts should generally be less than 8 inches for most areas.

Models seem to be pretty aligned. Aside from those unpredictable jogs...looks like LC will be on the west side this time.

Real talk. Anybody from LC evacuating for this? Wife is pressuring me to book rooms in Houston but I think we are too far West of its track
Booked rooms early yesterday, haven’t seen what I wanted today. Free cancellation until midnight tonight. Unless I see a fairly large jog east this afternoon, we’re headed out tomorrow when my wife gets out of work, if they work.
ETA: KPLC calling for sustained 65mph with gusts 85mph already. With so much of our infrastructure in ruins, no point in staying. Y’all thought the nails in the road were bad now.
