This never would have happened if it was a flight from Orlando to the Monroe super hub.

Delta's probably the last to say that as far as Domestic airlines.

Right? Delta is a pretty great domestic airline.

I don't fly much anymore buck back a few years ago the company I was with had projects everywhere east of the Mississippi. We hopped Delta all over the place. We were based out of Atlanta so it was direct everywhere. pretty dang convenient. It was before 9/11 so it was almost like taking a bus. Didn't even stay overnight on a lot of them. Early flight out, late flight back.

Video of "engine fire"

Looks like it was put out extremely quickly following the manual.

tailpipe fires or "torching" are not too uncommon on engine startup or in this case, shutdown(at least I'm assuming because they're hooked to a tug,) it is not a need to evacuate as all it is is unburned fuel "torching" off because of the heat in the engine, it's been removed from "quick action/quick referenced cards" at our place, curious to see who initiated that evac

Last time I flew ATL-MCO the 757 was broken and they swapped us to an A350.

Worst fricking plane… I’ve flown on 757s a good handful of times and no less than 50% of the time, there’s a mechanical issue.

Had back to back flights lat year in which they couldn’t seal the door properly.

Well it has been out of production for at least 20 years now.
