Its been reported on multiple outlets that Delta intends to use your search history and purchasing habits to charge you for your flight
Psssst....they already do that.
Every website does that.

every website charges a different price to every individual shopper? You're telling me Amazon's website has prices that are individually charged specifically to me?

Not even close to your first statement.
Travel websites are known for changing prices based on your IP, your past history, and even the time you are shopping.

Is it legal to charge someone more because of how much money they have?
I mean I get that a company can do whatever it wants but at the end of the day could that be seen as some sort of discrimination?
I feel like there will definitely be a lawsuit over this.

Airlines are doing all they can to alienate the casual flyer.
They don’t care. They know you have to use them or take Greyhound which will never happen.
Same with grocery chains. They know you have to buy their food to feed your family despite the price.

Unless you're a hermit or very tech savvy and privacy obsessed you have a profile with all sorts of data attached to it that can be sold to or accessed by delta.
Yes your stuff can be sold. But selling doesn’t give immediate access. This said they can scrub your email if you had a funeral. So you think you would get an email at noon and start looking for a flight at 1230 and delta would already have that info? The selling of your info isn’t in real time like that.

They also increase prices depending on how much you are searching. Thought being you are going to choose something, you are just looking for destinations.
Some have recommended not searching for you actual time, just search the whole day and scroll through all the flights

I used to fly Delta all the time. Until recently I used Southwest. Thankfully we have our own plane to use for football travel this year.
Ron and Rand Paul worked against this for decades and were whipped by the corporate media. We need some rails on AI before corporations give them control over humanity.

Eh. I get it. Now it’s up to us to figure shite out.
GEO to IAH: $1500 (because they know it’s nothing but oilfield hands that they’re gonna smoke them)
GEO to AUS (connecting thru IAH): $500
Coming home I booked a one-way and when I got to IAH Houston called United customer support and said my child has an ear problem and we need to drive the rest of the way. Can you cancel the AUS leg, they said sure.
Saved $1000

Fight fire with fire.
Planning a trip? Get another account to flood your email with alternatives like train, rental, and competing airlines. Talk about how you have absolutely zero intention of using X airline.
Use the system against them.

guess it's a good thing that I always search the cheaper airlines for comparison times, rates, nonstop destinations, etc., before finally booking any flight.
They’re going to be looking at what you have paid for past flights, where you typically sit on the plane, how often you fly, and how much you use your credit card. One person might pay $500 for a seat on the plane and the person next to him who bought the seat the same day might pay $250.
I fly a lot and have been thinking about counter measures but I don’t think any real change in behavior will ultimately work out.

posted about this a few months ago but it was not specific to airlines. Restaurants are already piloting this with the online menus so the steak you order at 7PM on a Saturday may be a different price than 5PM on a Tuesday. And it may even be a different price depending on who is/is not sitting at your table
I don’t think this is a fair comparison. In this scenario it would mean that I’m sitting at table 22 and you are at table 20 and they charge me $65 for a steak and you $85 for the same steak. In the case of airlines no price for the same seats in the same class of seating on the same flight are identical.

What is coming now goes way beyond information they were previously using. This will also result in no two people paying the same price for a seat on a plane.
