I had one of those going into MSY a few years ago in the middle of the night. Flight was delayed three hours because plane one had a mechanical issue, this was plane 2.
Plane spent about an hour doing loops over the lake to burn fuel. We then land going west fast as hell and he gives the brakes all he has. Got the place stoped and we had to wait at the end of the runway for temps to cool down. Runways and taxiways were full of fire trucks.
Scary as shite and there was no weather

I saw this story on Insa moment ago. The first comment was from a woman blaming Trump because “he’s shut down the FAA”.

I didn't realize he had done that. I bet that's what caused the DC crash, the Philly med crash, and the Alaska deal. That SOB!!!

I replied to her and asked if she thought Toronto was in the the US. Her reply was she knows Toronto is in Canada. But since this flight came from the US, the FAA is responsible.
She’s a great argument against the 19th amendment.

On an inner island puddle jumper in Hawaii:
four exit areas:
two with elderly Japanese who spoke no English (they got things to read at the beginning of the flikght)
One elderly US couple, both with individual Oxygen
One family of four, each parent with a baby on their lap.
