Yeah, they keep saying that it’s somebody in the community. I just don’t see it.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense if it is. They should have a fair amount of physical evidence (as you said, rumor is it was far grizzlier than reported).

Like I said though, it's not too far from I-65 and there's at least one serial killer that travels the Indiana/Kentucky corridor of it.

If I remember correctly, they’re pretty damn certain that the man is from/lives in the area.

Sounds like some small town Barney Fifes are on the case.

It would almost be impossible to not be able to identify a local person based on that picture.

I can't remember if they touched it on the pod, but there was an unsolved case in Eastern Iowa a few years before Delphi that sounded very similar. 2 young girls go missing from a trail in broad daylight and were found nearby in the woods. No details released on what happened to them.

The guy’s walk alone should out him

I've read some stuff about this case, but it's been a while. I thought there was something about where he was walking that meant he wouldn't normally walk like that. I may be making that up

He was walking on an old dilapidated railway bridge, that’s why his gait wouldn’t out him.

In a twist, the OP is the suspect they're looking for. He is just throwing a bone out to us to see what we know.

What's really odd is how many unsolved murders Bardstown has.

Just goes to show with all out current day technology, people can still sometimes get away with murder and avoid capture.
But the thing that never makes sense to me is how a 'registered sex offender' or child molester is ever allowed back on the streets. It's not like these sickos are going to change, women and children will always be at risk from these perverts! Especially alarming is the light sentences given out by radical judges!

I was reading up on the Keddie Murders a while back- it was startling to see how many sex offenders were literally surrounding that family in that area.

I'm 100% convinced it's tied to a drug ring in the area that the police are involved in.

But that's one long, fricked up rabbit hole to go down.

So it appears the guy has a flat cap on? That seems like an incredible way to narrow this down, how many freaking people wear those? Very very few.

If he did have that on they absolutely should have released that immediately and likely get the guy on video at a gas station or something.

From the little reading I've done on this case it looks like he wasn't actually wearing that kind of hat. The witnesses who gave info for the sketch were mad at how it came out

Interesting. It does almost look like he has one in the grainy photo and the other sketch is of a guy wearing one.

It seems to me like he’s fishing and trying to get a rise out of the killer to slip up. Possibly to attempt another murder?
So, the police want to make him commit another murder so they can catch him?

Bardstown/Loretto/Lebanon area has been causing problems forever...even before most of us were born.

I have a family member that is a retired state trooper. He disliked doing work around there much more than in the eastern part of the state - said they were more sophisticated and a lot more dangerous than the HillWilliams in places like Paintsville or Morehead.

Detectives are notoriously tight to the chest on this kinda stuff. The fact that the state police superintendent went on stage in a press conference and basically called the killer out leads me to believe that they’ve got no clue who did it at all.

Police don’t call out someone like that if they’ve got a legit suspect.

bullshite. If they are calling someone out its because they have a suspect but not enough evidence to arrest. The purpose in calling him out is to ruffle his feathers so he does something while he is under surveillance. Police would never put the public at risk by pissing off a murderer that they dont have their eyes on.

I heard he is returning with a new show sometime in the near future.

He is such a character. Like him a lot and also very clever.

There are so many of these crimes out there that need to be solved. Jodie Huisentruit rings a bell.
