I worked at Lauberge at night for two years. They had this baw who called himself the backpage king who came in every night for about 3 months. He would give me 100 bucks to call his room if cops showed up. Cops never did. He had a couple nasty hookers in there a lot of nights. He told me he was spending his deepwater settlement and then going back on the tools.

I provided the rolloffs for the flotel in Fourchon. We charged a massive daily haul off fee because of where it was and where we had to haul to. I say this to say not all cost we’re falsly inflated.

But then again, I moonlighted as a cook for the 500 person crew at the flotel and got paid 500-750/day depending on what I was doing. I know the sub that hired me made bank. I saw/heard some interesting stuff when the prisoners made their way down there.

and who would they hire to replace Seacor?

For the actual CLEANUP? Anyone they wanted. Clown...if you write the checks, you are in charge, period
If you stop writing, secor stops, right? But thats your choice when the checkbook has your name on it

ROV pilots
I walked into the ROV control room on a subsea construction boat that I used to work on and these guys vaped so much that I legitametly couldnt see a thing through all the smoke. It's a miracle these guys could drive robots 5000 feet below the surface while looking at the monitors thru a haze of vape clouds

Every spill response firm on planet earth was working on that spill. I know of companies besides o'brien's who billed BP directly.
