KLFY (Lafayette) just pissed on the wintry mix forecast - basically saying we will be dry. Bold move

Come 5/6 o’clock news they’ll all be calling for dry conditions

The Euro caved to the GFS. Not looking good if you want snow. Still time for things to change but it’s hard to ignore both the GFS and Euro when they agree.

GFS is very inconsistent right now. Current run says multiple inches of rain but not until later in week

Look at the 6z

For the record I was (still holding out hope) in the “for snow category”, I may have over hyped the chance for snow to my 8 yo niece last night. She’s been wanting to see snow her whole life. Anyone got a pony for sale?

Major snowstorm covering the entire South to nothing. Typical.

You can have cold or you can have moisture in the South but getting both at the same time is near impossible. Especially the kind of cold we have coming.

Gotta be skeptical until 2-3 days out.

sometimes it's "we might see some wintry precip" the day before then we end up with 3" of snow in the yard

Boss wants us to come in on Monday since we will probably be out Tuesday and Wednesday due to the weather. When reminded Monday was a holiday, he said it didn't matter.

It's not what the handbook says. Thanks for the extra time off.

The last “big” snow event we got in the Lafayette area was in early February 1989. We definitely over due. We love for my kids to see a few inches of snow but it’s looking less likely at this point

Sounds like a teacher making $50K/year with that answer.

My 11 year old is going to be bummed. Should’ve known better than to even mention it and just let him be surprised if it did happen.

Wrong - my wife is a CPA and talking about it - hundreds of users in this thread are taking about it - my sister is a teacher and makes $120,000 for 8 months, insurance and retirement working 7-2:30 with 30 minutes lunch and 90 minutes off - you jelly? Your post sound like a ditch digger working in freezing arse cold for $20 an hour.
