Decided to bite the bullet.....

Went to the doctor for both of my ingrown toenails. He gave me antibiotics to kill the infection and will pull off the whole nail Thursday. He will pull half of my nail on my other toe the following week. Any advice?

amputate your toes to avoid the ingrown nail from growing back.

The worst part is not having your whole toenail removed. That's actually going to be really easy and quick.

I had mine done in 1979 and it's been good to go for the entire time. They killed the roots on the side of each so there is no possibility of coming back

UPDATE: Ended up being the deepest ingrown toenail the doctor has ever pulled out. The shot stung for a quick second but other than that, no pain!
