How many more people are going to kill themselves by doing stupid shite for a selfie?
Andrea Norton, 20, died on Saturday when she accidentally fell from a rock formation in Ozark–St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. She had been re-positioning herself for a photo when she plunged 100 feet

The journalism student had gone inside with friends in the early hours to take pictures
She posted a video from inside on Snapchat minutes before she died.

Two recent deaths in which men plummeted in the Grand Canyon follow dozens of apparently accidental fatal falls since the national park was established 100 years ago.

From the Grand Canyon to the California coast, Meenakshi Moorthy and Vishnu Viswanath documented a life of travel and and natural beauty in their adopted homeland for more than 10,000 Instagram followers.
Last week, the couple’s bodies were discovered after tourists came across their abandoned camera equipment at the top of Taft Point, a granite outcropping 1,000 feet above the floor of Yosemite Valley. It is unclear whether the couple died while taking a selfie, as has been reported – though it would not be the first time that has happened in the park.

I’m not very comfortable with being super high in elevation and hanging around the edge of the surface I’m on. So, this sort of activity will probably not happen in my life.

A few months ago I was reading through the Wikipedia page for world-wide selfie deaths and it was a crazy long list. India, Indonesia, and the Phillipines had by far the most entries and it was crazy how many of them died either from drowning (bc apparently nobody in those countries can swim) or from getting hit by trains.
